It's stressful enough getting a scratch or dent on a regular car, but this is taken to a whole new level when it's something as expensive as a Ferrari 458 Spider, worth $280,000. Millionaire Zahid Khan, 31, had to live with the fact his precious car had been crushed at a scrapyard, due to the police believing it had been stolen.

The driver says he was pulled over by police in April 2017, at which point they seized the vehicle. Khan, 31, told the officers he had bought the car from an auction company through a middleman and that he had official parts fitted, promising it was all legal.

However, he didn't have the proper paperwork so it was taken away from him. By time he went to court with the proper papers proving the car was his, it was far too late.

West Midlands Police said they had to destroy it because it didn't have insurance and was considered a Category B vehicle, meaning it wasn't roadworthy. He was pretty unhappy with how things went down, as you can imagine.

Despite how upset Khan was over the whole ordeal, there is undoubtedly something very satisfying about seeing such an expensive car be crushed, as you can see in the below video:

When asked about the car, Khan said:

"I love supercars and have owned a number of them and loved this car. I saved to buy this car, and it was sentimental to me and my family.

"The police had no right to do what they did, it's very sad, this money could have gone to a good cause. Ferrari parts are worth more than the car itself. I had a quote to sell the Ferrari in parts for over £250,000."

Khan has plans to sue the department and the officer responsible for giving the order.
