Corey Feldman names second Hollywood paedophile live on TV
Since the press got hold of details about the Harvey Weinstein scandal, more and more people have come forward with similar stories of sexual harassment and abuse in Hollywood. Many have taken to Twitter or other social media platforms to share their accounts, most notably with the #metoo campaign, but others have been more direct in addressing their abusers.
Corey Feldman, who was a well-known child star in the 1980s, has actually been talking about this issues for years, but - up until recently - nobody took him seriously. However, now that a wave of accusations has come crashing down on Hollywood, people are finally listening to what he has to say.
On Monday, the 46-year-old actor revealed on the Dr. Oz Show that Alphy Hoffman, the former owner of an underage club, molested him when he was in his early teens.
"[Hoffman] came to my house to pick me up in his car, and I had heard rumors that he threw the coolest parties in town and he was very connected," Feldman told Dr. Oz.
He went on:
"You know, the first few times I went, it was fairly innocent. Those parties were relatively kid-friendly, but interestingly, that's where I met the guy that ended up molesting Haim …
'There was a bunch of these guys, they were all hanging out together at these parties, and the thing is, there weren't a lot of parents at these parties."
On one occasion, Feldman says he fell asleep while watching a movie with Hoffman and Jon Grissom - another man he previously accused of abuse - and, when he awoke, something didn't feel quite right.
"There was a porn on again," he said.
"I remember I could barely walk. I don't know what I was given at that time, but I know that I was really out of it.
"And we went to the bedroom, and I was kind of passing in and out of it, and then it was like he started doing the same things to me that Jon [Grissom] had done … I kind of woke up in the middle of it, and I freaked out … I kind of threw him off me and I ran home."
Feldman has always alleged that this kind of paedophilic behavior was normalized in Hollywood, and just last week outed Charlie Sheen as a perpetrator of abuse against fellow child actor, Corey Haim.
In his biography, Feldman gave details about a time when Haim was raped by an adult co-star:
"At some point during the filming [of Lucas, Haim] explained an adult male convinced him it was perfectly normal for older men and younger boys in the business to have sexual relations, that it was 'what all guys do.' … So they walked off to a secluded area between two trailers during a lunch break for the cast and crew, and Haim, innocent and ambitious as he was, allowed himself to be sodomized."
In an attempt to tell his full story, Feldman is currently crowdfunding a film to expose the truth about Hollywood predators and the kinds of abuse that go on in the film industry.
Alphy Hoffman has yet to respond to claims, and Charlie Sheen "categorically denies" any inappropriate behavior towards Haim when he was younger.
