The case, or indeed cases, against Donald Trump, seem to be growing by the week. Certainly, the former Apprentice star has courted controversy since he first decided to run in the 2016 Presidential election against former First Lady and Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton. And from his ways on Twitter, to his cabinet culls, the 71-year-old's unconventionality has been seen in almost every area of his Presidency.

This is particularly true when it comes to his social media presence. Trump has been staging a veritable thumb war ever since he was elected as the 45th president of the United States. There was the "Covfefe" incident, wherein the billionaire property mogul took to Twitter to perplex the world with the now-infamous 7-character tweet. And it hasn't just ended there. Donald Trump's Twitter account has managed to alienate large swathes of the public, including women, the LGBTQ community and several other countries.

Now, he's launched an attack on the former Vice President, Joe Biden.

Donald Trump has threatened to beat up Joe Biden in a Twitter thread that has been denounced as shockingly violent. Taking to Twitter on Thursday morning, the President of the United States wrote: "Crazy Joe Biden is trying to act like a tough guy."

"Actually, he is weak, both mentally and physically, and yet he threatens me, for the second time, with physical assault," he continued. "He doesn’t know me, but he would go down fast and hard, crying all the way. Don’t threaten people Joe!"

Trump lashed back at the Biden after the former Vice President publicly denounced him for the "sex boasts" that came to light during his election run. The clip in question showed Trump bragging to television host Billy Bush about his attempts to sleep with a married woman. In the video, he is heard asserting:

"I just start kissing them [...] It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait. And when you're a star they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the p***y. You can do anything."

Speaking at the University of Miami on Tuesday, Biden said "When a guy who ended up becoming our national leader said, 'I can grab a woman anywhere and she likes it' and then said, 'I made a mistake'… They asked me would I like to debate this gentleman, and I said no. I said, 'If we were in high school, I’d take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him'."

After the lewd comments were unearthed by The Washington Post back in October of 2016, Trump dismissed it as "locker room talk". But naturally, this wasn't an adequate explanation for Biden, who added "I’ve been in a lot of locker rooms my whole life. I’m a pretty damn good athlete. Any guy that talked that way was usually the fattest, ugliest SOB in the room."

As could be expected, Biden's speech was met with rapturous applause from the audience - and it goes without saying - by the people of the internet too.
