Escort shoots man twice in the head because he was bad at sex

A sex worker in Everett, Washington, was brought to trial this week after shooting a man in the head. The incident occurred at the victim's house on October 24th this year, at some point between 8.45 and 9.45pm - but the perpetrator was not apprehended until some time later.

Marissa Wallen, a 21-year-old escort who had visited the man on at least five previous occasions last month, shot her 36-year-old client two times in the head before stealing his wallet and leaving him to die in his home.

Astonishingly, the unnamed victim was found slumped against the wall shortly after the attack - unresponsive, but awake - and has been recovering in hospital ever since.

What's even more unbelievable, however, is the excuse Wallen gave when asked what had provoked such a violent attack.

According to a police document, Wallen "said that she shot [the victim] two times in the head because he was preforming oral sex wrong and she did not know how to tell him that."

After attempting to kill the man, Wallen, who is a mother to one young child, stole his wallet and went on a spending spree. The CCTV outside the victim's house actually showed the escort fleeing the scene clutching a handful of credit cards.

Fortunately, footage from a store showed her using the stolen cards, and law enforcement were able to track her down by following the transactions - but not before she was able to spend $12,000 of his money.

Mark Barnum, a neighbour of the shooting victim, recalled hearing what would turn out to be gunshots on the evening of the attack. "I heard what sounded like two or three taps coming from the wall," he said. “It was notable because we don't usually hear anything.”

Other neighbours described the man as a "nice guy", with one individual adding, “He keeps to himself a lot."

According to official court records, the victim was frequently "hiring female escorts and frequenting a strip club in Seattle, where he was bragging about how much money he earned.”

Obviously, it is far more likely that Wallen directly sought him out with the intention of robbing him, and her rather bizarre excuse is merely an attempt to avoid being accused of premeditated attempted murder.

Wallen is currently being held in jail on charges of first degree assault, first degree robbery and identity theft in the first degree. When reading her charges, a judge noted that Wallen already had 13 outstanding warrants - something which her lawyer claimed she had failed to go to court for due to "medical problems" - and so her bail was set at $1million.

Police have said that Wallen requested for one of her other clients to be contacted so that he could bail her out, but that has not yet happened.

When she was arrested, a probable cause document filled out by the police described Wallen as an "emotionless, cold and calculating" human being - and her actions certainly live up to that assessment.

One other man was arrested in connection with the case, but he has not yet been formally charged.
