If you know anything about the Kardashian family, you'll understand the phrase 'the devil works hard, but Kris Jenner works harder'. The matriarch of the Kardashian clan is well-known by now for being the person who marched into Ryan Seacrest's office one fated day and told him she wanted to discuss an idea for a reality TV show based on her family. The rest is history, with Keeping Up with the Kardashians propelling every single member of the family to international fame and fortune - all thanks to Kris' hard work and dedication.

Yet, while we watch the businesswoman on reality TV all the time, we still don't know exactly what she is like behind the scenes and we're left to use our imagination to fill in the gaps. Nonetheless, a recent interview with the Kardashian's old nanny has shed some light on what Kris is really like to work for - and, as you could imagine, working for the Kardashians is not all plain sailing.

Pam Behan worked as a nanny for the family for five years, taking care of Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, and Rob during the 1990s, long before they were all famous. In a preview for Kim's episode of Scandal Made Me Famous, Behan - who would drive the kids to school and extracurricular activities around Los Angeles and became a trusted member of the family - was seen discussing her experiences with the family.

In the clip, she admits that, while she adores the Kardashians, Kris Jenner was a demanding boss who had definite ideas about exactly how things should be done, often handing her a lengthy and difficult to-do list.

She said: "I liked Kris and I respected her for many reasons. She was not easy to work for because she was a perfectionist and she expected perfection... On a daily basis, when she has a very long list and you’re fighting L.A. traffic and taking kids to their events, and maybe possibly not everything on the list gets done. There were a few moments where I got an earful."

Behan, who was in her early 20s when she began working for the now-famous family, has reportedly claimed that, even back then, Kris was intent on making sure every one of her kids was famous, which made her even more set on perfection. "At first, I used to be just crushed when she would speak to me like that,” the former nanny said. “But she vents, she speaks what’s on her mind. She wasn’t easy to work for, but I did enjoy my job."

You can learn more about what the Kardashians are like when the cameras are turned off when the full episode of Scandal Made Me Famous - a documentary series that 'shows the unforgettable stories that turned everyday people into household names' - airs. The Kim Kardashian episode premieres Saturday, July 21, at 9 p.m. ET on the Reelz Channel.
