Last week, clubgoers at the Mokai Lounge in South Beach, Miami were treated to an unexpected evening of events when a huge white horse being ridden by a bikini-clad woman made its way onto the dancefloor.

The Lady Godiva-type stunt didn't go down all too well, however, as - predictably - the horse didn't cope with the slippery club floor. It stumbled into the crowd, throwing its rider off in the process, before scrabbling and panicking to get back up.

Multiple videos of the incident have been posted on Twitter and Instagram, prompting many people to complain about Mokai for allowing such a thing to happen.

City of Miami Beach Manager Jimmy Morales commented on the matter, saying: "I was disgusted and offended that any legitimate businessperson would think this was an appropriate action to take. This activity was not permitted, and as soon as we became aware, I immediately instructed staff to act swiftly in remedying this situation."

So far, Mokai does not seem to be responding to any publications who have reached out for comment, but the club's owner, Roman Jones, has made it known that he wasn't warned of the stunt in advance, and the person responsible has been reprimanded for their actions.

Thankfully, the horse was "inspected and deemed to be healthy and safe" by Miami Beach Police. However, the fact that it was put at risk in the first place was enough for the city to pull Mokai's business license, citing "possible animal cruelty and a hazard to public safety" as the reasons for doing so.
