We like to think of film casts as one big happy family, but sadly this isn't always the case. Case in point: Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Tyrese Gibson. After starring together in The Fast and the Furious series, you'd expect the two actors to be in each other's pockets. Instead, they've been embroiled in a bitter feud that has gone on for nearly a year now.

It all started back in September 2017 when he expressed his anger that The Rock had gotten his own spin-off film with Jason Statham, writing "#FastFamily is just that a family……we don’t fly solo" on social media.

But he wasn't done there. Soon after, in October 2017 he took to social media again to accuse his co-star of "taking over" the Fast and Furious franchise. Berating Dwayne for moving the release date of the ninth film, he wrote a furious Instagram post that read: "#PSA Congratulations to @TheRock and your brother in law aka 7 bucks producing partner @hhgarcia41 for making the fast and the furious franchise about YOU – And like you, DJ even if they call I will not be deleting this post – Gn folks see you in 2020 April #FastFamily right? Nah….. it’s about #TeamDewayne. [sic] "

But now, roughly 10 months after his furious rant, Tyrese seems finally ready to bury the hatchet. Talking to TMZ’s Van Lathan on The Red Pill podcast, the star revealed that he intends to clear the air with The Rock soon. He said: "I have yet to talk to The Rock to this day, but we will have a conversation. I did have a conversation with his producing partner and that was pretty much the gist of any communication about my thoughts and feelings at the time."

The Transformer star continued: "I found myself being the messenger on behalf of various people associated to the franchise, but stupid me was the only one who went public about those feelings – which was my fault"

Afterwards, the 38-year-old actor went on to say his actions were neither "professional" nor "cool", stating: "I don’t really recall anything that he [The Rock] either said directly or subliminally that was ever as big of a deal as the way I was going at him, which was not cool."

The news that Tyrese is prepared to back down and admit his wrongdoing is likely to please Dwayne, who recently spoke out about the "one-sided" and "disappointing" feud on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.

"We haven’t talked at all," he said. "That whole thing with Tyrese, it was pretty disappointing because I’ve been friends with Tyrese for a very long time. And, you know, I always feel like a beef requires two people to actually jump in it, and it was really one-sided and he had voiced his opinion a lot on social media. Apparently, he was going through some stuff, too, in his personal life. But, no, we haven’t talked and I don’t see where we would and, to me, there’s no need to have a conversation."

So, will the star co-stars kiss and make-up? We live in hope.
