The ex-girlfriend of murdered rapper XXXTentacion has broken her silence about his death in a series of Instagram posts.

The rapper, real name Jahseh Onfroy, 20, was shot dead outside of a motorbike retailer on Monday. According to an emergency dispatch audio picked up by TMZ, the incident is believed to have involved a drive-by shooting outside of a Deerfield Beach motorcycle shop and the shooters have not yet been identified; Onfroy was also reportedly robbed during the incident.

The rapper, who rose to fame on the music sharing platform SoundCloud, was dogged by controversy during his short career, with him facing 15 felony charges at the time of his death, including aggravated battery of his ex-girlfriend, Geneva Ayala.

Ayala accused the rapper of abuse and he was arrested in 2016 on charges of domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, and witness tampering on Ayala.

The woman created a GoFundMe in October 2016 to help pay for the surgery that she required after the alleged assault. On the page, she claims to have two fractures in her left eye socket as well as nose and jaw fractures, "due to an aggressive hit."

“since these bones are fractured they’re piercing into the back of my eyeball causing damage to an optical nerve and my eye itself,” she added.  According to Ayala, without surgery her “eyeball will die” and the nerve connecting her lip/cheek and teeth “will eventually die as well.”

“i’d appreciate anything, this is a very strenuous obstacle that has been put into my hands. also could use money towards my living situation and food. thank you,” she concluded.

Since the rapper died, Ayala has received a lot of heat from his fans who allege that she made up the stories to get money out of the rapper. However, she has also received more than $6,000 in donations and her total currently stands at over $34,000 at the time of writing.

Taking to her Instagram to speak about her ex-boyfriend's murder, Ayala shared an illustration of the pair, writing: “i want to scream at the top of my lungs until i can’t then keep screaming. i don’t want to believe this. no one knows. the s**t. i feel. for you.”

Ayala also alleged that she was kicked out of the vigil for the rapper, writing, “they kicked me out of the vigil. so damn disrespectful. i can’t believe people are that selfish. i wasn’t even there 25 minutes and i literally got pulled away from the memorial. i just wanted to stay. i wasn’t bothering anyone. this is unfair. i’m absolutely devastated."

She also claims that fans of the rapper burnt the items that she had left for him, saying: "THEY BURNED THE S**T I LEFT THEY BURNED WHAT I BROUGHT FOR HIM IM SO MAD LIKE IM SCREAMING.”

She followed up that post with a picture of the alleged burned items, with the caption: “i left those those things for him. i didn’t bother anyone. i said nothing to no one. i can’t believe they’d do that. how did they let that happen. why would anyone let that happen, where is the respect? the globe, board, flowers and candles i brought for him were placed BEHIND THE CAUTION TAPE, AND THEY LET THEM GET THE S**T AND SET IT ALL ON FIRE. he would’ve wanted me there. i have no f***ing words.”

Police are appealing for people to come forward regarding the murder and are offering up $3,000 for information.
