With the rise of "time travellers" claiming that they have been forwards in time and revealing what that holds, it seems like the future is looking pretty bleak for all of us. Trump will win the next election, there will be WWIII and Los Angeles will be submerged in water. But, while these theories all come from unreliable sources who have questionable motives, one woman's prediction may hold a bit more weight.

A blind mystic who correctly predicted 9/11, the rise of ISIS, the Boxing Day tsunami and Brexit, has now issued a scary warning about Russia and the threat that they pose to the world.

Baba Vanga is famed for her predictions, many of which eerily come true. The Bulgarian psychic is often referred to as "Nostradamus from the Balkans", has predicted numerous global wars and natural disasters before they actually happened.

She was blinded after being picked up in a freak tornado when she was young and claims that she had the ability to foresee into the future, making hundreds of predictions across her career.

She shot to prominence after predicting the sinking of the Kursk in 2000 and her followers believed that she had paranormal abilities, including telepathy and being able to communicate with aliens.

However, Baba died back in 1996 at the grand old age of 85 and, despite the fact that she died over 20 years ago, she left behind a prediction of what the world can expect in the future.

According to Baba, Russia will go on to dominate the world with Vladimir Putin at the helm. Back in 1979, during a meeting with the writer Valentin Sidorov, Baba apparently said:

"All will thaw, as if ice, only one remains untouched – Vladimir’s glory, glory of Russia.

"Too much it is brought in a victim. Nobody can stop Russia.

"All will be removed by her from the way and not only will be kept, but also becomes the lord of the world."

It's not the first time that Baba has predicted tensions and divisions across the world. She predicted that Europe would cease to exist in 2016, which happened to be the year that Britain chose to leave the EU in the Brexit vote.

And, before 9/11, she said: "Horror, horror. The American brethren will fall after being attacked by the steel birds.

"The wolves will be howling in a bush, and innocent blood will be gushing."

While it remains to be seen if Baba's predictions will ring true, it appears that Russia's relationship with the rest of the world - particularly the UK - is beginning to worsen.

Britain is currently involved in a stand-off with the Kremlin following the poisoning of former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter, Yulia, on British soil. British Prime minister Theresa May has issued a warning to Putin and has ordered that 23 Russian diplomats leave the UK in seven days time. However, Russia has now warned Britain that they should not threaten a nuclear nation, leading to a rise in international tensions.

Specialists have calculated that 68 percent of Baba's prophecies have come true, so while it may be easy to diminish what she predicts as just hearsay - she might actually be on to something.
