Charlie Sheen has been accused of raping 13-year-old Corey Haim
Corey Haim died in 2010 from pneumonia, following a mental state described as "destitute" by his mother, where he overdosed on pills ranging from Valium to Soma. Corey Haim and Corey Feldman have been longtime friends, and Feldman in recent weeks has undertaken a campaign to reveal the names of the Hollywood actors and producers who he alleges molested both himself and Corey Haim when they were child stars, decades ago. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Feldman said:
"...with Corey, his [abuse] was direct rape, whereas mine was not actual rape. And his also occurred when he was 11. My son is 11 now and I can’t even begin to fathom the idea of something like that happening to him. It would destroy his whole being."
Now, the LAPD is investigating Feldman's claims of a pedophile sex ring in Hollywood that abused both him and Corey Haim. And today, news has broke that actor Dominick Brascia is accusing Charlie Sheen of raping Corey Haim when he was only 13 years old.
The horrifying allegations are detailed by Brascia, claiming that he knew of 19-year-old Sheen and 13-year-old Feldman's abusive sexual relationship on the set of Lucas, in 1986.
"Haim told me he had sex with Sheen when they filmed Lucas… He told me they smoked pot and had sex. He said they had anal sex. Haim said after it happened Sheen became very cold and rejected him. When Corey wanted to fool around again, Charlie was not interested."
In Corey Feldman's memoir, titled Coreyography, he referred to a constant normalization of pedophilia in Hollywood:
"At some point during the filming [of Lucas, Haim] explained an adult male convinced him it was perfectly normal for older men and younger boys in the business to have sexual relations, that it was 'what all guys do.' … So they walked off to a secluded area between two trailers during a lunch break for the cast and crew, and Haim, innocent and ambitious as he was, allowed himself to be sodomized."
Like all 13 year olds in a sexual relationship with an adult, Haim was left "so confused by the sexual encounter he believed, like so many victims, he was 'in love' with his abuser."
Feldman, left alive after Corey Haim's tragic death, must feel vindicated to see much of this come to light. They are still allegations, however, and Charlie Sheen has yet to respond. But it is noteworthy that Feldman has been so insistent about this topic for so long, and that a second actor has now corroborated his claims.
Charlie Sheen has gone off the rails before. With a history of domestic violence, drug abuse and a chaotic news cycle of claiming he has 'tiger blood', Sheen is a controversial figure to begin with. Once the highest paid man on television, he will now have to answer for these claims.
Corey Haim is deceased, and cannot speak up for himself. In the wake of these troubling allegations, it is important to keep the focus on Hollywood, and oust anyone potentially involved in the 'pedophile rings' now being investigated by the LAPD.
