A new video has emerged on social media which witnesses claimed shows the legendary 'Bigfoot' roaming the hills of rural Utah.

Needless to say, social media users viewing the clip have been pretty skeptical on the whole about the sighting. The footage, which was taken by a shocked group of hunters in the mountains of Utah, shows a large and shaggy figure lurking atop a snowy hillside near Northeast Provo. In the footage, one of the awestruck witnesses can be heard saying: "Seriously, look how big it is ... I think it's a Sasquatch."

Austin Craig, one of the Bigfoot witnesses, was so disturbed by what he saw at the foothills, that he promptly took the next day off work in order to scour the surrounding environs and find more evidence of the monster's presence.

In an interview with local news reporters, Craig stated:

"You can't just see something that's maybe a once-in-a-century discovery and go do your nine-to-five job. You go to look for fur, or footprints, or some kind of evidence. Was it a bear? Maybe. That's plausible. Was it a person? Also plausible. Was it something else? I think that's also possible. Who knows?"

On social media, the footage has been derided by most viewers. For example, one commenter wrote: "It's 2019 ... people need to stop taking pictures with potatoes and expect me to take them seriously," and another added: "In the history of mankind not one carcass of a Bigfoot has ever been found. That fact alone completely eliminates them from even being plausible unless they're somehow immortal and are the hide and seek champions of another planet that came here to all play the biggest game of hide-and-seek ever. [sic]"

The last year has been a pretty big one when it comes to apparent Sasquatch sightings. Over the course of 2018, the legendary creature was allegedly spotted in New York state, New Jersey and a number of other locations across the country. Back in late 2017, Bigfoot was reportedly spotted in Northern California and apparently tried to steal a pig from a farmer near Avocado Lake.

So is this footage conclusive evidence? Not at all. But can we say for sure what the creature in the image was for sure right now? No, we can't, and for some, that fact is alluring enough to believe that 'Bigfoot' is walking among us.
