Tinder Poo Date Girl reveals herself online and speaks about the whole ordeal
Here's chapter three. The first instalment of this story was the most disturbing. News got out that a woman on a Tinder date needed to do number twos at her date's place, couldn't flush it, grasps it and flings it out the window before realising that the poo actually got stuck between a narrow gap between window panes.
She sees no other option than to tell her date, who then tries to help her retrieve the poop from between the windows. Then she gets stuck in the window herself, and has to be rescued by the fire brigade. It's the most bizarre cause-and-effect love-triangle storyline between a girl, a boy, and a poo.
In the second chapter we heard from the guy, Liam Smyth, who shared bit more about what happened. He told how a Nando's meal led to "Louis Theroux and chill" at his place, which then led to the flung feces fiasco.
Cleverly using the spotlight of the story, Smyth told how was confronted with the new problem of having to pay for the window repairs after the firefighters left. He started a GoFundme campaign to raise £200 to get it fixed. Overwhelmed with donations (£2,690 so far), Smyth said he'd keep the campaign running until Sunday and donate the money excess of £200 to charities.
Now chapter three: the girl has had her say. While she hasn't revealed her name, she confessed to being the girl in reply to online comments on Reddit: "I am indeed the shamed Shirehampton shit slinger." She goes on to describe the events:
"It's not something I'm proud of, but people are laughing, and if I'm making people happy then I'm not going to complain.
"It was a panic response and within seconds I knew I'd made a terrible mistake. I would have left, but I just couldn't do that to him.
"I make bad choices sometimes but I like to think I'm not a bad person, and to me that would have been bad [to leave]."
She confesses that she's glad she stayed to fix the problem or she might be in a worse position when he later found out. "I swear I was literally on my knees cringing and apologising," she said.
"He was so good about it, though. He just laughed with me rather than at me. It was one of the hardest things I've ever had to say.
"It was a moment of panic, and I read about a woman on Twitter who wrapped the poo and put it in her bag - I didn't have a bag, and I don't know why the window seemed the next best thing.
"I have many regrets. I figured a s*** in the garden, while weird, would not definitely be me. We live in an area with a lot of junkies etc, so prolly [sic] could have got away with it... maybe...it genuinely wasn't that big - his toilet was just dodgy."
The pair have been on a second date, which appeared to go well, but they're unsure if they'll meet again with Smyth saying: "Well, I'm really busy with my dissertation at the moment but as to what the future holds, I don't know. But she was certainly a very, very nice girl."
No pressure, but the whole internet is eager to hear how this love story will progress.
