Towards the end of last year, a woman named Amethyst Realm achieved a significant amount of internet fame after appearing on a UK talk show in order to discuss the 20+ relationships she's had... with ghosts.

She claimed that her supernatural sexy times started 12 years ago, when she and her then-fiance moved house. Once settled in her new place, she encountered a strange force that supposedly came onto her. And, uh, she just sort of went along with it?

"It started as an energy, then became physical," she said in an interview back in 2017. "There was pressure on my thighs and breath on my neck. I just always felt safe. I had sex with the ghost. You can feel it. It’s difficult to explain. There was a weight and a weightlessness, a physical breath and stroking, and the energy as well."

Since then, 30-year-old Realm (yes, that is really her name) went on a trip to Australia - and came back with a brand new ghost-partner.

The pair apparently met six months ago, while Realm was travelling.

"One day, while I was walking through the bush, enjoying nature, I suddenly felt this incredible energy," she said to Australian news network, New Idea. "I knew a new lover had arrived."

Realm says that she can't communicate with her new partner, nor can she see them at all. In fact, she's not even sure what gender they are. Despite this, the spiritual guidance counsellor says that they have a real connection. Oh, and that they want to have children together.

"[The relationship is] pretty serious," she said. "In fact, we've even been thinking about having a ghost baby. I know that sounds crazy but I've been looking into it and I don't think it's totally out of the question."

Strangely enough, Realm is not alone in her sexual experiences.

26-year-old Sian Jameson also claims to have had a fling with a ghostly being - though she claimed to be able to see her partner. She said:

"I woke early one morning to find a dark-haired, very good-looking young man lying next to me. He was fully clothed – in a loose white shirt, a neck scarf and old-fashioned breeches. He had a kind of shimmer to him as if he was behind a fluttering voile curtain. I told myself I was dreaming and rolled away from him ... We didn’t speak – it was as if he was communicating with me telepathically. His body was soft and light."

Four years ago, then-28-year-old Deborah Rawson also claimed to have had a sexual encounter with a ghost. Hers, however, was non-consensual. As she described:

"It felt as if my chair was wobbling and the tablecloth slid to the floor, taking a plant with it. Everything went out of focus but, as I fought hard to get myself together, I saw a misty cloud floating in front of the kitchen window ... From then on I felt Mark [the ghost] wanted something from me. He would pull at my dress and one time it felt as if he had pinned me down on the sofa."

Ghostly experiences aren't enjoyable for everyone, then - but at least Realm certainly seems to be happy with her spectral significant other. Maybe the two will go on to have half-corporeal, half-ethereal babies, or perhaps she'll go on to find some other spooky hook-up in the future.

Either way, it's pretty safe to say that this is one woman who just loves being ghosted.
