We are all aware that there are some horrible people out there who will spike drinks, either to make their target vulnerable to assault or as a cruel prank. It is extremely difficult to get into the mindset of someone who would do this, or imagine how they can get away with it in a crowded bar or club. However, a recent video taken by a festival-goer has caught one man in the act.

Posted onto Twitter by the user Jaeda Sky, the short clip shows two women dancing at a festival with drinks in hand. Filming themselves in a selfie video, they are distracted just long enough for a man in the background to slip something into one of their drinks without either of them noticing.

"I’ll never understand how a dude can be so wack with no game and feel the need to be such a disgusting predator," Jaeda wrote in the tweet. "Ladies watch your drinks! Watch her cup".

The 15-second video has already gained over 175,000 likes, nearly 100,000 retweets and thousands of replies from people shocked by the video. One Twitter user replied to say, "Wow the drink can literally be in my own hand and I'll still get roofied".

She later reassured everyone who had seen the video that the owner of the drink realized what had happened and didn't finish her drink, so is thankfully completely fine after the incident.

It just goes to show that even a short lapse of concentration can give awful people the opportunity to hurt others. But the criticism shouldn't be directed at the women for not noticing what happened, but on the men out there that think this kind of behavior is by any means acceptable.
