Nowadays, it seems as though Instagram influencers are everywhere, living their even-better-than-perfect lives and rubbing it in the faces of us mere mortals. Because it seems like an easy way to make a lot of bucks, more and more young people are considering it as an ideal career, and have aspirations to live the same idealistic life as the influencers they follow. However, now it seems as though there's a new kind of influencer on the scene. A construction worker from Austin, Texas, has managed to attain over 350,000 followers in the space of a month in order to prove to his daughter how easy it is.
Omar, the founder of the IG blog Justaconstructionworker, asked his daughter Barbara what an influencer was, as he had never heard the term. When she told him, Omar found the idea so ridiculous that he decided to set up his own blog instead, which has now become hilariously successful. Now he shares pictures of his outfits (typically a high vis jacket, gloves, and helmet while on site) and posts candid photos of himself happily drinking coffee and playing pool.
