Alarming footage featuring a great white shark attacking its prey, and causing the sea to turn red as a result, has shocked viewers.
In the video, a group of onlookers can be heard screaming in response to the gory attack, which occurs mostly underneath the water. The shark can be seen just a few yards away from the boat as it preys on its impending meal.
Take a look at the shocking clip below (Some viewers may find the footage upsetting):At the start of the video, little can be seen as the attack takes places below the surface of the water for the majority of the fight. Then, as the predator's prey starts to resist with persistent force, the shark's fin suddenly emerges above water.
The water surrounding the pair then begins to turn red, evidently from the blood of the shark's unfortunate victim.
The passengers on the boat scream throughout the horrifying ordeal. In fact, one person, evidently distressed by what they have just witnessed, starts crying as the boat continues with the tour.
The distressing footage was filmed by the captain of a boat which was in the middle of a whale-watching tour near Green’s Point Lighthouse in Brunswick, Canada.
The footage was later posted to the Jolly Breeze Tall Ship & Jolly Hurricane Jet Boat Facebook page.

Since it was posted yesterday, the clip has garnered an astonishing 30k views, with many commenting on the tragic nature of the incident.
