It's been a pretty bleak last few weeks, with the number of coronavirus cases continuing to soar. So now more than ever, we could all probably do with something light and utterly delightful to warm our hearts - and we have just the thing.
Meet Milkshake the pug. Notice anything a little different about this gorgeous canine? He's a pink pooch! Just when you thought the breed couldn't get any cuter this blush-colored pup comes along.
Unsurprisingly, blue-eyed Milkshake, who is 17 months old, is now making waves on social media, with an impressive 55.5k followers on Instagram.
Per the Daily Mail, Milkshake was the only one amongst his brothers and sisters who had inherited the pink fur and skin from an albino pug somewhere in the litter's lineage. The striking pup does not have any hearing or sight problems, which commonly affects both people and animals with albinism.
His owner Maria, 33, was blown away by his unique appearance and knew she had to get her hands on him.
The Londoner adopted the pup when he was 10 weeks old - and it hasn't taken long for him to accumulate a following online.
Needless to say, people have wasted no time in expressing their adoration for Milkshake.
"Omg he is stunning! Id love one to go with me wee black pug!" one Instagram user wrote.
"Well hello there cutie! We vote yes!" wrote another, while a third gushed, "Seeing him always makes me smile and giggle."
Not to let his spectacular appearance go to waste, Milkshake has also participated in national dog shows and has a trainer who preps him for potential film and TV commercial opportunities.
