Ariana Grande transformed into Regina George and fans are obsessed

Can we all agree at this point that Ariana Grande is basically pretty great?

The 25-year-old songstress can sing, dance, she's absolutely brilliant at impressions (see Jimmy Fallon's talk show for details), she's philanthropic and has gained plaudits all over the world for the manner in which she dealt with the aftermath of the appaling Manchester terror attack last year.

While 2018 has been an incredibly tough year for the singer, who spoke about how the horrific terror attack during a concert of hers in Manchester gave her PTSD, she's still releasing banger after banger when it comes to new music.

Grande has also had to contend with the break down of her highly publicised relationship with Pete Davidson over the last couple of months, as well as the tragic and untimely death of her former partner, the rapper Mac Miller.

Perhaps it was these events that inspired her latest single, thank u, next, which has taken the internet by storm since being released, largely due to its positive message about loving yourself. The line "one taught me love, one taught me patience, one taught me pain" has also spawned endless hilarious memes. Grande is on top again.

Over the last couple of weeks, the 25-year-old One Last Time singer has been teasing fans with what appear to be images from the upcoming music video for thank u, next.

So far, she's given us Elle Woods from Legally Blonde:

Bring it on:

And now, she's revealed the next character she'll be portraying, sending fans into meltdown in the process...

If you were thinking that that looks an awful lot like the burn book, you'd be absolutely right.

Predictably, fans were quick to share their excitement about the upcoming video, with comments ranging from "can't wait" to "OMG IM CRYING [sic]"

And then, in a stunning turn of events, Aaron Samuels himself commented on the image, telling Grande "you look just like her."
