11 Celebrities that you never knew had a twin
The 1998 film The Parent Trap made every child wish they had a long-lost identical twin somewhere. Starring a young and freckly Linsday Lohan, the film showed how different twins can be from one another, but ultimately how much fun (and mischief) they can have when joining forces.
While Lohan didn't actually have a twin, there's no scarcity of them in the celebrity world.
Everyone knows about Mary-Kate and Ashley, and the guys who play Fred and George in Harry Potter. But what about other celebrities with twin siblings? Some are identical and others are just fraternal twins. It's not been confirmed if they can read each others' minds through extrasensory perception, but it's highly likely.
1. Jon and Dan Heder
Everyone knows Jon as Napoleon Dynamite, but no-one knows he has a twin brother.
2. Laverne Cox and M Lamar
The transgender Orange is the New Black star plays a transgender character in the show, and her brother (a goth musician and artist) played Cox's character in the pre-transitioning flashback scenes.
3. Gisele and Patricia Bündchen
The supermodel's twin sister was also blessed with beautiful genes.
4. Hunter and Scarlet Johansson
Hunter quite regularly joins his twin sister on the red carpet, and everyone is sure to notice the 30cm height difference between them.
5. Michael and Ashton Kutcher
Ashton has a twin brother with cerebral palsy who underwent heart surgery at just 13 years of age. Now, he's giving motivational speeches for young people living with disabilities.
6. Rami and Sami Malek
The Mr Robot actor indeed has a twin brother, who has a respectable job as a teacher, thank you very much.
7. Marissa and Giovanni Ribisi
The actor is known for his roles in Avatar and Saving Private Ryan, and he's got a twin sister who has her own fashion line.
8. Charles and Max Carver
You may know Charles as Ethan from Teen Wolf, but maybe you'll also recognize the pair as tiny tots running around in Desperate Housewives.
9. Aaron and Shawn Ashmore
Shawn's been in a few X-Men films, and Aaron acted in Smallville. The two look so alike you'd think they were the same person!
10. Tiki and Ronde Barber
The American football stars are similar but still different – Ronde playing cornerback and safety for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while Tiki was a running back for the New York Giants. Same-same but different.
11. Vin Diesel and Paul Vincent
This one always surprises people. The action movie star has a relatively normal brother, who works as a film editor.
Those lucky celebs who have their very own twins. It must have been a lot of fun growing up, assuming that none of them were separated at birth and raised by one of their biological parents who had since split, being lied to all the way from birth to adolescence, and not knowing you had an identical sister halfway across the world.
Can we just take a moment to point out the parents were pretty cruel in The Parent Trap? Good. I'm still a little bitter about that one.
