Corey Feldman was arrested for marijuana after saying he was molested in Hollywood

Corey Feldman ruled as a child star in the 1980s, appearing in such classics as The Fox and the Hound and Gremlins. Now, he runs a band which has received some mixed reviews, to say the least, but Feldman has always been himself, whatever the consequences. Now, he's been recently arrested in Louisiana for marijuana charges.

His tour bus was pulled over, when officers claimed that they smelled marijuana. However, only one member of Feldman's crew was charged for having medical marijuana in Louisiana. Feldman was taken to the station, not charged for any crime, and was allowed to leave that night. He said:

"No illegal or street drugs were found on the bus at all! Which is why nobody spend the night in jail." Feldman jokingly called it: "a bit of a good ol’ shakedown".

He found it a bit odd:

"After we paid them in cash, they ask[ed] for pictures and autographs, then called the local paper to do interviews. I do find the timing of this all ironic."

The timing, of course, aligns with Feldman's announcements that he had suffered molestation at the hands of Hollywood producers and executives as a child.

Feldman unleashed a Tweetstorm of all-caps and numbers that may be a tad difficult to read, but sheds much light on the nature of his claims:

"4 THE RECORD: I WILL NOT B GOING ON A TALK SHOW 2 DISCLOSE NAMES OF MY ABUSER OR ANY1 ELSES ABUSERS. SO PLEASE STOP ASKING ME 2 DO SO.

"ALREADY OVER THIS! MY CAREER WAS SHUT DOWN, I HAVE BEEN MOCKED & SHAMED 4 DOING WHAT I HAVE DONE 2 THIS POINT! I WOULD LOVE 2 C OTHERS COME FORWARD AS THERE R MANY OTHER WITNESSES 2 THE CRIMES I HAVE ADDRESSED. STILL NOT 1 OF MY PEERS HAS OFFERED UP ANYTHING IN A DECADE!"

"ALSO LET ME ADD, THIS IS NOT ABOUT FEAR OF BEING SUED! YES THATS A REAL POSSIBILITY BUT THE BIGGER REASON IS SAFETY 4 MY FAMILY!"

Feldman was abused alongside his friend Corey Haim, who died from pneumonia in 2010, in the wake of drug problems. Last year, Feldman told The Hollywood Reporter, regarding Corey:

“With me, there were some molestations and it did come from several hands, so to speak, but with Corey, his was direct rape, whereas mine was not actual rape. And his also occurred when he was 11. My son is 11 now and I can’t even begin to fathom the idea of something like that happening to him. It would destroy his whole being."

Pedophilia is an intensely sensitive subject in Hollywood. From Woody Allen to Roman Polanski, child molesters have been baked into the foundations of Hollywood for years now.

Feldman has elaborated further in his interview last year with The Hollywood Reporter:

"I believe that Haim's rapist was probably connected to something bigger and that is probably how he has remained protected for all these years. This person uses intimidation and threats as a way to keep people quiet. And all these men were all friends. Ask anybody in our group of kids at that time: They were passing us back and forth to each other.”

It's a truly gruesome scene, and makes one consider the incurable psychological damage that such experiences would cause. And who could remain silent for so many years about the sexual abuse of children?
