'Human Ken Doll' reveals the aftermath of his 59th cosmetic procedure that cost him $25,000
Over the years, we've seen people undergo more and more extreme procedures in order to achieve their aesthetic goals. There's the parrot man, who chopped off his own ears to look more bird-like, Valeria Lukyanova, who went under the knife dozens of times in order to look like a Barbie doll, and - perhaps most famously - there's Rodrigo Alvez.
Alvez, better known as the 'Human Ken Doll', has had over 50 plastic surgeries and more than 100 cosmetic procedures in order to make himself look more like a living doll. So far he's racked up over £400,000 ($527,000) in bills for his cosmetic alterations - but he doesn't seem to be stopping any time soon.
Most recently, the 34-year-old TV personality dropped £19,000 ($25,000) on a hair transplant that he hopes will make him look "younger" and "more feminine". However, looking at the photos that Alvez took after (and during!) the procedure, his scalp might need some more time to heal before it starts looking up to scratch.
"The aim for now is to make me look younger. I don't think that I look like a masculine guy, and once my new hair grows I will be more delicate looking," said Alvez, who has previously spoken about plans to undergo gender reassignment surgery later on in his life.
He also explained that he opted for the procedure after bleaching his hair caused it to thin out, and that a hair transplant was simply a "quick fix":
"There is a saying which states that blondes have more fun. Since going blonde I have got lots of attention from guys and girls, but after bleaching my hair I started to lose it from my hair line.
"I guess that it happens with most people when they bleach their hair but being myself, I always try to find a quick fix.
"Once the hair grows fully it will look like a female hairline, as that men of my age won't ever have a teenage hairline anymore."
But this was far from Alvez's most extreme procedure.
As well as spending $29,000 on a fake six-pack, $13,000 on pec implants, and $4,000 on liposuction to his jaw, the Human Ken Doll also has future plans to further augment his body. "I [have] had a consultation to remove 6 of my ribs, which shall be happening soon," said Alvez. "I love to express myself with tailored outfits and I would like to have more of a classic figure."
He also noted that any future alterations he chooses to make won't be to his exterior: "The kind of changes I’ll be undergoing from now on won’t be plastic surgery as such, but rather procedures that focus on my bones and structure." This is partly due to the fact that, because he's had so much work done, his "body can't handle lipo anymore".
It's no surprise, either, considering that Alvez has been undergoing cosmetic surgical procedures since he was just 19 years old, and the list of operations he's had literally ranges from head to toe:
"I have had a hair implant, a brow lift, eye lifts, my ears pinned back, cheeks redesigned, my jawline shaped, I’ve had cheek implants twice, the sides if my lips cut out in order to give me a bigger wider smile. I have had fillers injected into my shoulders, biceps, triceps, my abs – my six pack is purely plastic surgery."
At this point, nobody can really tell when Alvez will stop with these surgeries, but one thing is for sure - it's not going to be any time soon.
