When you're one of the most instantly recognizable people on the planet, like Jennifer Lopez is, it's inevitable that if someone bears a striking resemblance to you, they're going to get some attention.

Hopefully, they're not forced to contend with the paparazzi chasing them down the street every day, or the incessant media speculation and tabloid column inches that come almost as part and parcel of being a modern-day celebrity. But they might get the odd comment about it as they go about their day, or even manage to accrue a social media following from their resemblance.

For one woman, her doppelgänger just happens to be Jennifer Lopez, one of the most admired and recognizable people on planet Earth.

It all started back in 2017, when one of Janice Garay, a.k.a. Jay from Houston's pictures went viral on Instagram's explore page.

"It was just normal selfies I had taken in my restroom, and people were assuming that I was Jennifer Lopez, commenting 'Are you J-Lo?' No...I'm Jay from Houston!" she revealed to a local ABC affiliate.

One recent picture reveals just how striking her resemblance too J-Lo really is. Captioned, "Are you gonna leave this quarantine life changed, or doing the same things?"

Originally from Brownsville, Texas, Jay moved to Houston when she was six years old. And she's now a mom, too; "As a mother, I think that it is important to talk to your kids about exercising because it’s a habit that you want them to form early," she wrote on Instagram.

"I don’t really think you need to approach them about it. It’s one of those topics that you need to show the importance of by leading by example. If your kids see that you’re making a conscious effort to be healthy regularly, they will eventually notice the importance without you ever having to talk to them about it. The most important thing for parents to realize when trying to encourage a child to work out is that it has to be their decision."
