Prince Harry confesses he had a crush on Meghan Markle's 'Suits' character for a long time

I'm not sure if I'm a believer in love at first sight, but I do think there's something to be said for it. For some people, they believe that once you set eyes on the one for you, you will instantly become bestowed by their beauty and fall into a pit of love and lust that will last a lifetime. Whether you believe that love at first sight is real or not, it certainly seems to have been the case for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

It's been reported that everyone's favourite royal had a crush on his beau for two years before he ended up meeting her, after watching the actress on TV. When asked by a friend who his ideal woman was, the ginger prince is said to have answered: "Meghan Markle from Suits".

The 36-year-old actress plays the strong-willed and charismatic paralegal Rachel Zane in the show, and she has appeared in several steamy, eyebrow-raising sex scenes throughout the course of the show's seven seasons.

The revelation of Harry's infatuation with the actress comes from royal expert Katie Nicholl and more will be revealed in Channel 4's documentary When Harry Met Meghan: A Royal Romance, set to air tonight at 9 pm.

"He had a crush on Rachel Zane two years before he met Meghan and the reason I know is because I was having drinks with one of his friends.

"She told me she’d been on a night out with Prince Harry. He was single at the time, so she said, 'Harry, who’s your ideal girl?' And he said 'Meghan Markle from Suits'."

According to sources close to the royals, plans are in the works for a royal wedding, happening some time next year. It's understood that senior members of the Royal Family have been instructed to look at their diaries in order to shortlist a series of suitable weekends for the occasion.

It's believed that the wedding won't happen until William and Kate's third child is born and there are also other considerations for the couple to take a look at before they tie the knot. Meghan has previously been married, and due to her status as a divorcee, she won't be able to have a religious wedding in a church. This means that the couple would have the choice of a comparatively low-key venue such as the Royal Military Chapel at Wellington Barracks in St. James's Park.

Despite the rumours that she will have to leave the show if she is to marry the prince, Meghan is currently in Toronto filming the eighth series of Suits, with work set to finish on the series in the middle of November.

It's safe to say that Harry has it pretty easy, he's got the riches of a royal, without the pressure of eventually becoming king. Not only this, but he is also going to marry the woman of his dreams, the lucky devil.
