Scarlett Johansson's new back tattoo is absolutely huge
Who doesn't love Scarlett Johansson? She's appeared in some of our favourite films like Lost In Translation, The Prestige and The Avengers, and recently, she became the highest-grossing actress of all time with a tidy sum of $3.6 billion.
On top of that, the actress was a global ambassador for the aid and development agency Oxfam for nearly 10 years, so what's not to like? As one of the most desirable women in Hollywood, Scarlett Johansson has a couple of trademark physical features that help her to stand out in a crowd, and perhaps none more so than her tattoos.
As far as we knew, she's had five; a pair of interlocking rings on her ankle, a bracelet tattoo on her wrist, a picture of the sunrise on the inside of her arm and a detailed picture of a lamb on her right shoulder blade as well as a horseshoe with the words "lucky you" on her ribs. Now, it looks like she's added a sixth piece to her collection of body art, and it's her biggest tattoo yet.
Right now, Scarlett Johansson is in the middle of filming, reprising her role as Black Widow in the Marvel film Avengers: Infinity War. Playing a deadly Russian assassin who helps to save the world, ScarJo's latest tattoo is very much removed from the world of comic books and superheroes, and represents something much simpler.
On her way back to her trailer after a tough day of filming, Scarlett Johansson's black top revealed a rather large tattoo across her back. From what we can tell, it appears to be a fairly large floral tattoo.
After featuring in both the Jungle Book reboot and Captain America: Civil War last year, Scarlett Johansson has appeared in two films this year. She played the Major in the live-action adaptation of the Japanese anime the Ghost In The Shell, as well as starring in the comedy film Rough Night, which debuted last summer in June.
Her film career has really taken off, and it's fair to say that her lifestyle now is a far cry from her childhood, where Scarlett Johansson lived in a low-income household in Manhattan with her parents and her three siblings. She recently opened up about her tough upbringing, revealing that at some points in her childhood, her family had to survive off food stamps.
"We were living on welfare, we were on food stamps. My parents were raising four kids in a low-income household in Manhattan. So, it was a lot. My mom tried to be as much as a buffer as possible with that experience, but by the time my twin brother and I came around, I think my parents' marriage, it had a lot of strain."
As we all know, Scarlett Johansson is no stranger to the needle, but could Black Widow show off this tattoo in the latest Avengers film? It remains to be seen, but in the meantime, let's celebrate Scarlett Johansson, a talented actress who's decorated in more ways than one.
