Gwyneth Paltrow genuinely can't remember being in 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' in hilarious clip
The life of an actor can be really fast-paced and intense, as you can imagine, and although it would be a dream come true for you or I to see ourselves on the big screen, by the time you've gone through so many projects and scripts, the novelty must... wear off.
It seems like ages ago that Gwyneth Paltrow was winning an Oscar for Shakespeare in Love, and she's been in a ton of other projects since then, so you can forgive her for forgetting a couple of roles she's taken on later in her career. Such as her cameo in 2017 Marvel reboot Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Check out the moment Paltrow literally forgets she ever starred in Spider-Man:
The actress recently appeared as a guest on Netflix's new cooking show The Chef Show, which is co-hosted by chef Roy Choi and Jon Favreau - Favreau being a director and actor in several of the MCU movies.
And when Favreau brings up Spider-Man: Homecoming, an incredible real-time moment occurs that sees Paltrow completely lose the plot and forget she was ever in the movie.
To be fair, Gwyneth isn't in the film for long; reprising her role as Tony Stark's love interest Pepper Potts, the film lets us know that she's about to become Iron Man's fiancée.
It's a small moment, but Gwyneth Paltrow had no idea it happened. When discussing her role in Spider-Man: Homecoming during a film, she genuinely has no idea she was in the movie.
Oops. She does remember the scene, but she thought it was another scene from Avengers: Endgame, perhaps, where she features a heck of a lot more.
And naturally, fans flooded to Twitter to share their thoughts on Gwyneth's moment of madness:
Ah, well. At least with the Iron Man franchise now on ice for the foreseeable future, she won't have so many Marvel films to lose track of any more.
