Nicole Scherzinger under fire after "motorboating" her fellow television judge
Last night’s The X-Factor Celebrity has caused a stir after judge Nicole Scherzinger was alleged to have “forcibly motorboated” fellow judge Louis Walsh. The incident occurred in the aftermath of “Glee” star Kevin McHale’s performance and prompted dozens of viewers to raise an eyebrow or two in response.
Before the now notorious “hug”, Saturday night’s show appeared to be proceeding as usual. However, when the 31-year-old McHale had finished his rendition of Donna Summer’s disco classic “I Feel Love”, Scherzinger proceeded to grab Louis Walsh’s head and tightly press it against her chest.
Walsh, who had been attempting to provide some feedback on the performance, seemed slightly distracted in the immediate aftermath, while fellow judge Simon Cowell did an excellent job of ignoring the unfolding drama by staring straight ahead and clapping loudly.
Even though everyone on screen seemed to get over the incident fairly quickly, the audience was clearly more perturbed. Several members took to Twitter to voice their disapproval, with one writing, “Why does Nicole always have to be so sexual. Stuffing her boobs in Louis' face #CelebrityXFactor #XFactorCelebrity," and another adding:
"Nobody bats an eyelid at Nicole forcibly motorboating a fellow judge. Just imagine the furore if a male judge thrust his schnangus into her face. It would be career ending. #CelebrityXFactor."
This isn’t the first time that Scherzinger has been in the spotlight this series after rumours began swirling around a budding relationship between her and competitor Thom Evans. Insiders have claimed that the two spent a romantic evening together, with one source allegedly telling The Sun:
“Thom is completely Nicole’s type And for his part, Thom was smitten early on — he’s always said Nicole is one of the most beautiful women in the world. He fancied her long before meeting her on the show. He was initially a bit nervous about starting something up and ruining his chances on the series, but they had great chemistry from the off.”
