Eminem's new album will be called 'Revival'
It looks like we finally know some concrete information about Slim Shady's much-rumored new album. It's now all-but official: his famous anti-Trump BET freestyle was a prelude to an album drop marketing cycle, and today he's followed it up with a gimmick that is entirely his own, exactly the sort of thing that Michigan's finest would conceive of, in classic goofy Eminem style.
Eminem's manager put a link to a website called Revival on his Instagram. The only catch is that Revival is almost-certainly a shrouded reference to Eminem, and not a genuine medication. The reversed E in the title is the first give. But then, an audio ad on the site references "Lose Yourself", curses, and the site says that Revival may be "music to your ears", better than any "bullshit placebo.

So now, it's basically been confirmed by Eminem's manager and Interscope Records that Revival is for real. A few clever Redditors also figured it out, on the Eminem subreddit. One user named tacoreddit noticed: "They say the ad expires november 21. Album must be out by then."
Indeed, November 17th was previously floated as a potential release date, so now we know for sure that it will come before November 21st. I mean, Eminem's own manager put this out, and previous Em albums have been titled Relapse and Recovery, making Revival fit the theme pretty perfectly.
Another Reddit user noted: "At the bottom it says "27 days left."", as well as crediting Interscope Records for the site.
"BRUH HE LITERALLY CURSES IN THE FUCKING AD LIKE DO I NEED ANY MORE PROOF. THERE IS ALSO NOTHING CALLED ATROX RITHIMUS BESIDES IN THIS “AD”. HYPE BOIS. “BULLSHIT PLACEBO” IS ALSO IN THE AD."
TheWhiteRoyale also noted the increasing layers of connection to Eminem in the website:
"Someone on r/hhh claimed Atrox Rithimus means something along the lines of "bitter rhyme" or "atrocious rhyming" so it looks like it's Revival is going to cure that, which has got me hype already, there's also a reference to " midwestern tympanic stimulators" or midwestern stimulators of the ear, which is a pretty apt description of Em."
Looks like Eminem is here to revive rap. But after Jay-Z's 4:44, he'll really need to step it up to make sure he's on par with other legends. This seems like the year for OGs to come back and retake the game. The website is pretty goofy, but it recalls Eminem's early-2000s style perfectly. It's a return to form, but we can expect some mature content. At least, we hope so, after that Trump freestyle it seems like he won't be able to avoid politics and current events at all. This could be the most political Em record yet.
What do you think? Are you excited for Revival? It will be out in less than a month, so you have little time to prepare. I'm sure we'll all end giving it a listen, or at least hear a few songs second-hand, regardless of how excited we are about Eminem. This has the potential to be great though.
