American Horror Story: 1984 is really turning up the heat, featuring a plot line which includes the real-life serial killer, Richard Ramirez, also known as "The Night Stalker".

Ramirez, who was convicted of thirteen counts of murder back in 19189, is portrayed by Zach Villa in the new season. If you're watched the previous seasons of AHS, you'll know that the notorious murderer appeared in an episode of American Horror Story: Hotel.

The episode, which aired in the fifth season of Ryan Murphy's television series, saw Ramirez's ghost join serial killers, John Wayne Gacy and Aileen Wuornos, to visit the infamous hotel and kill a married couple.

AHS veteran, Emma Roberts, has returned for AHS: 1984, playing Brooke, who works as a counselor at a summer camp. And in true horror story fashion, Ramirez, a satanist, assaults her in her apartment.

"You're going to be famous," the serial killer can be seen telling Roberts' character. "You're going to die by the hands of the Night Stalker. I will find you. Satan will show me the way."

The ninth season of the hit television series is set in Los Angeles, where Ramirez's murderers actually took place. He was ultimately convicted of thirteen counts of murder in 1989, and died in 2013 due to complications secondary to B-cell Lymphoma at Marin General Hospital in Greenbrae, California.

AHS: 1984 also stars Billie Lourd, Gus Kenworthy, Cody Fern, DeRon Horton, Angelica Ross, Leslie Grossman and Matthew Morrison.
