It's official: Valerie Bertinelli is now divorced and she couldn't be happier about it!

The Food Network star was involved in a lengthy divorce battle with her ex-husband, Tom Vitale, which saw the former couple negotiate on a settlement. However, after a recent call with her lawyer telling her that the papers have been finalized, she is now finally a free woman.

The 62-year-old celebrated the occasion with an update to her 567,000 Twitter followers, letting them know about her happy news.

"My lawyer just called," she says in the video. "The papers are all signed. They're about to be filed."

"On 11/22/22, I am officially f****** divorced. Happily divorced. Finally. It's finally over."

She doubled down on her happiness, captioning the clip: "Second best day of my life."

Fans flocked to the comments to congratulate her.

"Happy divorce Valerie! So proud of you for staying strong during this whole ordeal. You have your life back!" Wrote one user.

"Didn't realize things were that bad in your marriage, seemed fairly good when he was on your show. But you never know I guess. Well congratulations," another fan added.

However, for some reason, not everyone was supportive, with some pointing out that divorce shouldn't be normalized or celebrated.

"You are what is wrong with the world... even if you are happy with your divorce... to announce it to the worldwith such glee... reiterates to those of us who honor and celebrate marriage and despise divorce that you are the problem. Divorce is sometimes needed but not celebrated," wrote this user, but they were quickly shut down by others slamming him for being judgemental.

Bertinelli and Vitale were married for 10 years before they separated in November 2021, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason behind the split.

Since then, the actress has been pretty vocal on her social media about the messy ordeal she's suffering at the hands of her ex, so much so, that she even wrote a poem about it.

Titled I Don't Miss You, the piece gives us a bit of an insight into her relationship with Vitale.

"You were not the person I thought you were," it reads, in part. "I did not love you. I loved the person you pretended to be," she wrote.

Also in her book, Enough Already: Learning to Love the Way I Am Today, the 62-year-old detailed some more painful memories about her former lover, stating that the pair had "drifted."

"We have drifted from the interests that made us a couple and found that those differences can't be fixed," she wrote, as per the Daily Mail. "He is a good man who is going through many of the same issues that I have faced: What can he do to add meaning and purpose to his life?"

She continued: "Where can he find joy? What is he passionate about? What has he learned? And what does he do differently going forward? The paths we thought we were on changed."

Either way, if she's happy with her decision, so are we! Congratulations on the divorce, Valerie Bertinelli!
