One of Jonah Hill's co-stars in You People has claimed that his on-screen kiss with Lauren London was actually computer-generated.

The Netflix movie - which also featured Eddie Murphy, Nia Long, Julia Louis-Deyfus, and David Duchovny - was released on Netflix in late January, and centers on a new couple who have to learn to adapt to each other's families and cultures.

So far, the flick hasn't fared too well. The Guardian called it a "frequently excruciating culture clash," adding that the jokes are "painfully labored" and "run out of steam."

Over at Rotten Tomatoes, the film was given a laughable 38% from audience members, while critics were a little more kind with a rating of 44%. "You People carries the unresolved, disjointed tension of a sitcom that's been stretched to the two-hour mark," The Independent said of the movie, via Rotten Tomatoes.

Aside from the underwhelming reception, however, the flick allegedly features a CGI kiss between title characters Hill and London.

Andrew Schulz - who portrayed one of Hill's cousins - revealed the secret on his podcast Brilliant Idiots. He discussed one scene in the flick where London and Hill kiss, as flower petals fall onto them. "I don't even know if I should share this s**t, but in the final scene, they don't even kiss," Schulz stated (via The Independent).

"It's CGI. Swear to God, son," he continued. "I'm there, I'm watching the wedding, and I see them go in for the kiss and their faces stop like this far," Schulz said, holding up his hands to show the distance between Hill and London.

"And I'm like, 'I wonder how they're going to play that in the movie. Oh, they're probably just going to cut right there,'" he added. "But in the movie, you could see their faces come close, and then you can see their faces morph a little bit into a fake kiss."

Viewers immediately took to Twitter to comment on the interesting revelation, with one person writing: "ayo is it true [...]"

"Half of her got lost in his beard [...]," someone else added.

Other users were quick to point out that the pair didn't seem to have much chemistry anyway, so computer generating the image made total sense. "They had no chemistry. There was an obviously notable lack of affection between a couple that's supposed to be in the early stages of being in love. So this isn't shocking that they would CGI the final kiss," one tweet read.

Another person likened the fake pash to a scene in the Matrix where an agent makes skin grow over the mouth of Keanu Reeves' character Neo. "Not the Matrix lips," a further user quipped.
