Liam Payne forced to delete Instagram post after being absolutely roasted
Out of all the One Direction boys, Liam Payne is easily the most confusing. I don't really get what purpose he serves: Harry Styles was the floppy-haired sort-of-rockstar one, Zayn was the bad boy one, Niall was the 'take home to your mother' one. So, based on that conclusion, I guess Liam was the super pointless one? I mean, honestly, if you removed Liam Payne (and arguably Louis) from the inevitable One Direction reunion tour, no one would care.
However, while he may have achieved superstardom and an insane amount of riches at a young age, Liam didn't love the boyband life. In a revealing interview with the Sun, the dad-of-one explained how he felt like he was putting on a costume when going on stage.
“I shouldn’t have been able to do as many shows as we did, if I’m honest about it, if I’m brutally honest about it.
"Going out and putting that happy smile on my face and singing the songs, honestly, sometimes it was like putting on one of those costumes, going out there and, underneath the costume, people don’t really see what’s going on.
"The more we did, I just don’t think we stopped and celebrated enough how great things were and I think that’s what got on top of us in the end.
Liam said that things eventually became too much and the boys decided to call it a day.
“We needed a little bit of time away from each other.
"We needed a realisation point to find the love for it again, rather than it just becoming a job.
"I’m a totally different person now to how I used to be about it.”
Since the guys split back in 2016, Payne has gone solo and achieved moderate success with his releases. However, it's been his actions away from the stage that has grabbed the headlines. The 24-year-old became a dad last year, with him having a baby, Bear Payne, with the singer Cheryl in March. He has also tried to change his image from normal, Liam, to Liam the bad boy.
His latest attempt at being a tough guy, however, fell flat. In fact, it fell so flat that he was forced to delete it due to how much he was mocked. Taking to his Instagram account, the former boyband member wrote: “You can only get jet lag from a jet, the rest of y’all have got plane lag. #NOF*CKS”
It's fair to say that it didn't go down well, with the majority of Twitter roasting him for the cringe-worthy image and caption.
Yep, like I said, he got burnt.
Poor old Liam, he was simply trying to shake the boy band image off and it blew up in his face. Although, if he really gave #NOF*CKS, why did he delete the post?
