This dad's hilarious response to his daughter's 'lady issues' is absolutely perfect

Despite the fact that absolutely none of us want to admit it, dad jokes can be pretty funny. Actually, do you know what? Parents can be pretty funny. Yes, they're annoying and, yes, they're ridiculously overbearing at times, but they are funny and you have got to love them. One woman who knows only too well had ridiculous parents, and particularly dads, can be, is Kiera Platt.

Kiera, 25, and her dad Mitch, hail from Long Beach, New York. However, while there may be a huge age gap between the two of them, according to the young woman, her father is also her "best friend for life".

Talking about the love that she holds of her old man, Kiera said: "He's the master of 'dad jokes. He's never failed at being awkwardly funny," she explained. "When I was a teenager I used to feel embarrassed by it but now I embrace it. I couldn't imagine his sense of humor being any other way."

Kiera says the two of them constantly crack jokes with each other and that there is no boundaries when it comes to the "banter" that they "create between each other".

"My favorite thing about my relationship with my father is the banter we create between each other," Kiera said. "There's no line of what's appropriate or not. The jokes are just always funny. That's the way it is. He's the best father in the entire world and I wouldn't change a single thing about him."

Such is the hilarity of Mitch's jokes, Kiera regularly takes to her Twitter account to share them with her followers. Take, for example, this exchange in which her dad texts her "good morning", and then shortly follows it up with "f**k you".

Another classic.

Here he is dishing out some sound life advice.

But sometimes the texts can just be sweet messages of support.

Very cute.

However, it's Mitch's latest attempt in his long line of dad jokes that has captured the attention of both Twitter and the press. On Saturday, Kiera texted her dad about the fact she was struggling with 'lady issues'. "Went home early from work today, lady issues," she said to him. But, rather than just be the compassionate and loving father that you would expect, Mitch had other ideas and saw the texts as the perfect opportunity to crack a joke.

Unsurprisingly, the internet loved it. The tweet currently has 19,000 retweets and 68,000 likes, with plenty of people expressing their admiration for Mitch.

Kiera was then reached out to for an interview regarding Mitch and his unbelievable jokes and shared that her dad was pretty excited.

Classic Mitch. While you may think that your parents are annoying and ridiculous, remember that they're always looking out for you - even if they have a strange way of showing it. Also, dad jokes are the best.
