Girl with one arm creates amazing Halloween costume

Do you remember this girl?

21-year-old Lauren from San Diego previously made a name for herself with a hilarious Tinder profile that doesn't shy away from the fact that she only has one arm. She lost it during a moped accident a while ago, but hasn't let it get her down.

Lauren's Tinder profile caught everyone's attention because she not only showed off her residual limb but also poked a bit of fun at it. Her profile description stated her occupation was an "arms dealer" and she boasted that she was "hands down the best catch on Tinder".

She sealed the deal by grading herself as having a 10/10 face, a 9/10 body, a 20/10 personality, and arms... 1/2. Her bio went viral, and Lauren was praised all over the place for her humorous spirit. Tinder even got in on the action and pulled some strings to make her title of "best catch on Tinder" official.

And now, she's proved the title yet again by posting a picture of her Halloween costume for this year. Lauren said it's the first time she's "done something cool" since the accident. And it is pretty great.

"I bought like this $4 effects makeup kit and some gauze and just threw it on last night," she said. "I walked through my living room last night with it on and my roommate had a friend over and they both almost had a heart attack. People seem to be a fan of the Halloween costume."

"This is the first year I’ve done anything cool since losing an arm. I guess it was practice i was just trying it out. I’m going to do it on Halloween but I’m going to use better makeup."

Still looks pretty good for a trial run. It'll be interesting to see the pièce de résistance come actual Halloween. Lauren seems quite the party animal saying that she doesn't work and likes going out and having fun. She's pretty outspoken on her Twitter account, with her social media commentary being entertaining though also quite self-deprecating. But ultimately, it exudes her confidence and intolerance to harmful comments about her injury.

Speaking of how exactly the accident happened, she said: "I was going pretty fast on a moped and lost control of it, and I hit the median in the road. I flew off and hit a sign and it sliced my arm off. I stayed conscious the whole time."

It took some time for her to come to terms with the loss of her arm, but eventually found that making light of the situation and speaking openly and wittily about it online helped: "For a while, I wasn’t okay with the jokes. But then I started telling the jokes, and it’s kind of helped."

And it pays off, with so many people living for her hilarious social media updates. One thing's for sure: she wins Halloween this year.
