These people are transforming their lives through street football

Using football as its primary tool, Street Football Wales does incredible work promoting social inclusion for those who are typically marginalised in society. This includes those who struggle with their mental health or alcohol and drug abuse, as well as homelessness.

Sophie is a prime example of a young person who struggled as a result of social exclusion and was given invaluable support from the organisation.

She is now serving as an inspiration and mentor to others as to what can be achieved through SFW and being part of a team.

Sophie started playing football at SFW through the Swansea Young Single Homeless Project in 2017 when she was living in the organisation's supported accommodation. It has drastically changed her life - and her outlook on life - for the better.

Sophie isn't alone when it comes to benefitting from this incredible project. SFW has also helped countless other people at a time in their lives when they were in need of a little extra support.
