What would you do if you won the lottery? These days, I'd probably invest in a nice apartment for myself, a few pairs of designer shoes, and the best of the best accessories for my pets.

It's a question that we like to think about every so often, but winning an unexpected sum of money is a stroke of fortune that really does only happen to a lucky few.

And for one Virginia woman, an incredible stroke of luck came after an argument with her boyfriend when she won a whopping $177,777 on a scratchcard.

Chyanne Creel of Roanoke said that she'd made the decision to buy the scratchcard when they went for a drive to cool off after the argument.

They stopped at a gas station and it was there that her life changed forever when she asked her boyfriend to get her a drink and some scratcher tickets.

It was this decision that led to her winning an incredible $177,777 scratch-off prize, Fox News reports. The Lucky 7s Tripler scratcher offers prizes ranging from $5 the grand prize of $177,777.

According to a press release, Creel told Virginia Lottery officials that the moment she realized she'd won big "just doesn’t seem real."

The press released added that the couple turned right around to redeem the winning scratchcard, which was purchased at the Nishi Food Mart in Vinton.

Fox News reports that the Virginia Lottery has said that there is one more unclaimed top prize from the Lucky 7s Triple game - the odds of which are winning are one in 1,040,400.

This incredible story comes after a man who lost his job due to the coronavirus won $3.1m on the lottery back in April.
