This story about an old woman telling a slut-shaming dude to shut up is next level

Every now and then, a story comes around that restores a little of your faith in humanity. Normally, this is the heartwarming tale of two lovers reuniting after years being driven apart, or the life-saving exploits of a random humble member of the public. But now and then it is satisfying enough to see bigotry taken to task, even if it's done using colourful language.

One such story is this tale of slut-shaming-shaming (no, that's not a typo), as one middle-aged man got absolutely destroyed when he was insulting to a younger woman on public transport. Scott Sparrow posted this story as a status update on Facebook, but it's recently making the rounds across the internet. And once you read it, you'll see why people are going so mad for it.

Scott begins his post setting the scene, which occurred in the London Underground:

"I am having such a wonderful day on the tubes I can't not share this story. Let me build the scene: Central Line between Oxford Circus and Chancery Lane, possibly St Pauls.

"To my right is sat a lady, 25-30, wearing a revealing dress. To my left is an old lady, almost dead is how old she is. Standing in front of us is a man, 50's, suit and tie, eyeing revealing dress."

"Suit leans over to the revealing dress lady and says "Have some self respect when you dress yourself" Revealing dress lady blushes to the colour of her almost not there dress."

If this sounds bad enough, just wait until the real hero of the story makes her appearance, setting the world right once again.

"Old soon to be dead lady is having none of this and in a south london accent shouts out "She can wear or not wear whatever the f*ck she likes, even if she was naked with a sign pointing to her fanny (she said fanny on the central line by St Pauls) and the sign pointed to her fanny which said ...PARTY CITY ALL INVITED...then that would still be none of your bloody business now f*ck off back to your bored wife!"

"Red dress then hugs the walking dead and old suit walks off. That old lady will be my hero for the rest of her life, even if the rest of her life is like only another week. She was so old."

The original post has over 12,000 shares, and that's not including how many people are posting it on other platforms. It's definitely one of those stories you see and desperately hope it's true, but since it's from a Facebook post we can never know that it really happened 100 percent. But hopefully, that old woman is still out there somewhere, enacting social justice with the sharp wit she showed here.

There's no end to the heroic elderly this year. For instance, did you read about the 89-year-old WWII survivor who took a stand against the racism in Charlottesville?
