A woman got freckles tattooed on her face and it appears it didn't go to plan as she documented her immediate regret.

Getting a tattoo is a commitment because if you don't like it, you can't go and just scrub it off in the bath - it's going to be part of you forever without an expensive removal process.

With that being said, it's important to really think long and hard about the design and the placement to ensure you will love it for years to come.

Not every tattoo has to have meaning, as a cool piece of art is the perfect justification, but tattooing freckles on one's face seems like a pretty out-there choice.

TikToker user @forever.afterxo went into a salon thinking she would emerge with beautiful freckles, but instead, it resulted in her needing painful laser removal surgery.

Starting the hectic video, the woman penned: "Tattoo freckles gone wrong and the owner said it's my fault," alluding that the artist wanted no responsibility for how the ink turned out.

The artist allegedly chose the color of the ink and then began putting the spots close together, much to the dismay of the TikToker.

She then revealed that she had to pay $180 for laser removal surgery, and then needed a further session to clear it up even further.

The TikToker also revealed that she did not receive any money back from the artist, and declared in the caption that this wasn't her fault.

Some viewers were unsympathetic towards her, but she commented to one person calling her out by stating: "It’s suppose to be semi permanent not permanent she went over the twice and pushed to hard and didn’t use the colour we chose [sic]."

A more positive comment read: "I want freckle tattoos but I guess you’ve gotta be extra careful who you let do them, I hope you get the look you want soon!!"

Another supportive person said: "If you get henna to pop some light ones around might make them look more natural but they aren’t as bad as you think."

The moral of the story is to make sure you and the artist are on the same page before any ink is applied to your skin.
