President Trump hits out at Fox News poll that says majority support his impeachment
President Trump has hit out at a Fox News poll, which claims that just over half of voters are in favor of his impeachment.
According to the poll, 51% of registered voters wanted the 45th president of the United States removed. While similar polls have been conducted, this is the first time that there has been such a strong sentiment against Trump, says Fox News.
The poll was conducted after President Trump began an inquiry into political rival Joe Biden using his Ukrainian counterpart.
"Whoever their Pollster is, they suck. But @FoxNews is also much different than it used to be in the good old days. With people like Andrew Napolitano, who wanted to be a Supreme Court Justice & I turned him down (he’s been terrible ever since), Shep Smith, @donnabrazile (who gave Crooked Hillary the debate questions & got fired from @CNN), & others, @FoxNews doesn't deliver for US anymore. It is so different than it used to be."
"Oh well, I'm President!"
Fifty-one-percent of those who participated in the survey said that they were in favor of Trump's impeachment and removal and four percent said that they wanted him impeached but not removed. Whereas 40 percent of respondents were against the president's impeachment.
According to Fox's poll, 66 percent of people thought that it was "inappropriate" for Trump to ask a foreign leader to probe a political opponent. Whereas 25 percent did not have a problem with Trump's investigation into the former Vice President Joe Biden.
This poll's results, however, are not isolated.
A similar study conducted by the Washington Post survey found that 58 percent of Americans were in favor of an impeachment inquiry, with 49 percent of the opinion that Trump should be impeached and removed.
Similarly, an NBC News/Wall Street Journal survey found that 43 percent of Americans support Trump's impeachment and removal. Whereas 49 percent are against the current president's impeachment.
