A pregnant McDonald's worker has received thousands of dollars in donations after a man threw a drink in her face, leaving her unable to work.

The horrific incident was witnessed by a customer at a McDonald's drive-thru in Georgia, and, as per Fox News, the man was reportedly angry because he didn't want ice in his drink.

The Sun reports that after the incident the pregnant McDonald's worker was left humiliated and unable to return to work.

However, things took a turn for the better because the incident was witnessed by another customer who not only took down the man's license plate and reported it to the police but decided to help the mom-to-be out even more.

After the incident took place in early December,  Feroza Syed posted about it on Facebook, writing: "I was getting some fast food at a local McDonald's when the man in the car in front of me threw a large soda back through the window at her. It covered her in sticky syrup, her hair, shoes, and shirt were soaked. She was crying when I pulled up next.

"After giving her a small tip, I went back later to share the driver's plate number, and realized she was pregnant. I decided to create a small cashapp/venmo fundraiser and we raised about $1700 in about 24 hours to put a smile on her face and show her not all humans are horrible."

Syed recently shared an update on the Facebook page, revealing that "well over $3k" had been raised for the woman and a baby registry has been created too.

"Today I got to meet her, talk with her about her situation and found out that while they’re clearing up the inner workings of the situation, she hasn't been able to go back to work."

The McDonald's worker, who has been identified as Bryanna on Syed's Facebook page, said that she broke down in tears when she received the envelope of donations from Syed, The Sun reports.

"I asked her if I could take a few photos for those of you who donated, and she said yes," Syed continued. "Here they are. She's so sweet, has a good head on her shoulders, and could really use the funds since she's not allowed to work right now."
