Video of Trump kissing a young woman and talking about a 'beautiful' teenage waitress is going viral
The 45th President of the United States has repeatedly been slammed by allegations of sexism and sexual harassment. Certainly, the business mogul's decision to run in the 2016 Presidential election only resulted in greater coverage of these historic cases of alleged misconduct.
Since Trump announced he would be running against the former First Lady Hillary Clinton, numerous women came forward to report that the former host of the Celebrity Apprentice had behaved inappropriately with them. And just before American citizens were due to cast their votes, a now infamous recording emerged of him making "sex boasts" and crude remarks about women. The clip showed Trump bragging to television host Billy Bush about his attempts to sleep with a married woman. In the video, he is heard asserting:
"I just start kissing them [...] It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait. And when you're a star they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the p***y. You can do anything."
And even now, it appears that Donald Trump has one of three reactions when confronted with a woman. He will either put them down via a personal attack, make them uncomfortable by making lascivious comments or he will actually make an advance.
Indeed, the latter has proved to be his favoured mode of attack, as another video has surfaced showing the President touching and kissing a young woman who asked about becoming an air hostess on one of his private jets.
While, this video documents an incident which happened before he was President, the finding, is nonetheless disturbing. As well as showing Trump kissing a veritable stranger, it also sees him share a story about how he once hired a teenage girl with no experience, just because she was "beautiful".
In the video, Trump confessed to interviewing a 16 or 17-year-old girl without any credentials because she was "so beautiful", "like a world class beauty". And despite acknowledging the protestations of his staff, he admits to "interview[ing] her anyway because she was so pretty".
Later on, he also insinuates that women are "like [his] form of alcoholism":
"Now if she worked on my plane, that's like a death wish for me, right? That's like an alcoholic — I have plenty of friends, they're wonderful people, but they're alcoholics. You put a scotch in front of him… This would be my form of alcoholism."
Naturally, the reaction on Twitter was rather mixed. Some users thought it was absolutely fine that the President of the United States has a history of sexualising young women, while others were left with a rather sour taste in their mouths.
One Twitter user wrote, "The girl is so privileged to get anywhere close to Trump. She should count herself lucky", but others were more targeted in their criticism, saying "Waiting for the Trump supporters to say 'Well this is before he was President' like this behaviour is job specific."
Another social media user corroborated, "So his form of alcoholism is infidelity and objectifying women. But yeah, he is the @potus for the religious right." Others, however, thought that the whole act was staged: "It felt like she was a plant to me," one user stated, while another wrote "I agree. It was all a paid planned act. That's how insecure he is. Has to pay a woman to flirt to make him appear wanted lol."
