In yet another bizarre Truth Social posting spree, US President Donald Trump revealed the childish nickname he has created for the potential 2028 presidential candidate.

After Trump’s endorsed candidate in the Georgia Senate race, Representative Mike Collins, defeated Derek Dooley in this week’s Republican Senate runoff, the president labelled his new competition, Democrat Senator Jon Ossoff, “Os(jerk!)off”.

In his derogatory post, Trump wrote, “So happy for highly respected Congressman Mike Collins. He will win his Senate Race in Georgia against a pathetic, failed Dumocrat Senator, Os(j---!)off, who is a joke in D.C. Nobody even knows who he is!!!”

However, the Democrat politician and former investigative journalist is no stranger to a nickname, as he has been dubbed “the next Obama” for his charisma and public speaking skills.

In the run-up to November’s midterm elections, Georgia’s seat will be a tight battle. Republicans hope to flip the seat in a state Trump won, while Democrats rely on their charismatic incumbent to beat a scandal-plagued MAGA challenger.

Collins is a controversial figure in the state, as during his Senate campaign, he fired his chief of staff, Brandon Phillips, after his campaign’s official X account made a horrific comment about a woman who accused former NBC News anchor Matt Lauer of rape and attempted to end her own life.

Just last month, a GOP strategist working on Dooley’s campaign, who also happened to be the husband of the woman who accused Lauer, Luke Thompson, posted poll results on social media that Collins’ team was not happy about.

The X poll results posted by Thompson showed “Dooley beats Ossoff. Collins can’t.”

In response, Collins’ X account wrote: “Matt Laurer’s [sic] sloppy seconds chiming in to take an L.”

Phillips was swiftly fired by Collins and apologized for the “offensive” post.

Collins' campaign is riddled with scandals

In another ongoing scandal, Collins and Phillips are under investigation over accusations that Phillips hired his girlfriend as an intern and paid her over $10,000 for effectively not working.

In a statement, Ossoff blasted Collins as a “notorious bigot, antisemite, and extremist currently under federal investigation for the illegal misuse of tax dollars.

“Collins, who is only a congressman because his daddy was a congressman, voted to double health insurance premiums for more than a million Georgians, for the Iran war, and for the Trump tariffs.”

Despite the public blasting from his opposition, Collins cannot deny the nepo-baby claims, as they are true. His father, Mac Collins, served in the House from 1993 to 2005, undeniably helping his son’s position as favorite for the role even before the president chimed in with his last-minute endorsement.

US Vice President JD Vance has made several groundbreaking revelations about his own life, as part of his new book, titled Communion.

It is the follow-up to the 2016 release, Hillbilly Elegy, which made its way onto the New York Times bestseller list and was the basis of a Ron Howard-directed Netflix movie, which earned two Oscar nominations.

Vance's latest release focuses on his conversion to Catholicism instead of his early life, which comes amidst the drama surrounding the ongoing conflict between the US and Iran.

The 41-year-old no doubt has copious amounts of material to write about since he has moved from becoming an author to becoming the right-hand man of the US President, but it is said that he does not give the people what they want.

The book reportedly contains nothing about a potential candidacy in the 2028 election or anything mind-blowing about Trump's time in office, but Vance did make several bold claims.

JD Vance pokes fun at "childless cat ladies"

The Vice President took the book as an opportunity to address one of his most scrutinized statements, which has to do with "childless cat ladies."

Vance first uttered the term while running for US Senate in Ohio, going as far as saying that these women were "miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made, and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable, too."

Democrats didn't take kindly to this generalization, though Vance said in his new book that it was “one of the dumbest things I ever said.”

He went as far as describing it as "boneheaded," claiming that his actual point was that Americans have become "pathologically hostile to having kids."

But when the comment resurfaced after he was named as Trump's prospective Vice President, he told NBC’s Meet the Press: “I have a lot of regrets, but making a joke three years ago is not at the top 10 of the list.”

However, he did say that it was a "dumb" comment in a New York Times interview later that year, writing in his book as a Christian statesman: “It’s ok to admit error.”

Vance's feud with the Vatican

Trump's extreme crackdown on the Vatican has resulted in backlash from religious leaders such as the Pope, putting Vance, a devout Catholic, in a sticky situation.

Yet, the Vice President mentions his April 2025 visit to the Vatican in his new book, despite Pope Francis' criticism of the Trump Administration.

When he met with Vatican officials, Vance said the conversation was "unsettling," as he felt they were not direct enough.

In fact, he claimed they didn't specify the policies they disagreed with, writing: “Here I was, the most senior Catholic in the United States government, and the Vatican seemed unwilling to move its moral guidance past the point of trite platitudes.

“I was struck that one of the few institutions with the moral authority and global perspective to address the migration question seemed so afraid of saying something controversial that it chose, effectively, to say nothing at all,” Vance claimed.

He still spent his Easter morning with Pope Francis though, who was unwell but asked to meet Vance, as he recalled the 10-minute meeting.

He wrote: "We had different jobs, and I preferred his specific exhortations to the vagueness I had encountered during our Vatican meeting,

“Better to have an honest conversation than one masked by clichés.”

A new view on abortion

The Trump administration has left conservative crowds frustrated, as they looked to cut down on abortions in the US, though the President has avoided the topic up to the midterms.

He has allowed states to decide how to regulate this, but Vance believes there is a third option.

The Vice President claims that improving conditions for mothers, children and families can lead to less women choosing to get an abortion.

Vance wrote in his new book: “When having babies is a drag on economic activity, the economic gods favor terminating pregnancies,

"And of course, it’s not just the act of having children that we ought to be concerned about: It’s spending time with them as well.”

He wrote about the 2023 Ohio ballot referendum, which saw abortion rights upheld in a red state, claiming it is a sign that women will reject attempts to eliminate “the last option they thought they had left.”

He claimed: “That’s why we lost the Ohio referendum, but it’s also how we’ll start winning people over: by reflecting Christian charity in the way we champion the unborn.”

Vance continued to link the subject to Catholicism, adding: “To me, Christians cared about abortion (bad) and marriage (good), but their politics seemed so disconnected from the real lives of most people.”

He asked: "What would a Christian approach not just to marriage and family, but to economics in the modern era look like?"

Usha Vance's key role

Vance highlights the importance of his wife Usha, who is Hindu, throughout the book.

“There is at least a little irony in the fact that my non-Christian wife helped lead me back to my own Christian faith, and then made it possible for me to discuss the journey on paper,” he penned.

Vance previously told a college audience that he hoped his wife would convert to Christianity, but soon said that his wife has "no plans" to do so.

He did add: "Like many people in an interfaith marriage - or any interfaith relationship - I hope she may one day see things as I do.”

The pair decided to raise their kids Catholic, though they can decide if they want to be baptized.

A woman has been sentenced after illegal butt injections led to the death of a Kim Kardashian lookalike.

Vivian Alexandra Gomez was sentenced to four years behind bars on June 15 in connection with the death of 34-year-old Christina Ashten Gourkani, an OnlyFans model known for her resemblance to the SKIMS mogul.

Gomez, who had traveled from Florida, was found guilty of felony involuntary manslaughter and practicing medicine without a license, People reported.

The San Mateo County District Attorney's Office shared in a statement that the woman flew into San Francisco International Airport and met the Kim Kardashian lookalike at the Marriott hotel in Burlingame, where she was carrying out the procedure.

According to prosecutors, she "administered gluteal injections to the victim at a hotel," and this led to Gourkani becoming "immediately ill".

Per NBC Bay Area, she was taken to Mills-Peninsula Medical Center in Burlingame, where she died the next day of respiratory failure and a pulmonary embolism.

Defendant left the state after the failed procedure

After carrying out the procedure, Gomez returned to Florida, where she was later arrested on a warrant issued in San Mateo County.

She was extradited back to California to face charges of involuntary manslaughter. Although she posted a $200,000 bond and was released from custody, that changed following her trial.

In March, a San Mateo County Superior Court jury found Gomez guilty after a two-week trial and roughly three hours of deliberations.

Following the verdict, Judge Leland Davis ordered that she remain in custody without bail ahead of sentencing.

Gomez’s attorney said his client had accepted responsibility for the horrific incident.

"She's a very nice woman," he said. "She was willing to accept responsibility for involuntary manslaughter a long time ago."

Experts have warned about the dangers of illegal injections

Medical experts have issued warnings about the serious risks associated with unregulated cosmetic procedures, especially those involving silicone.

In May 2023, board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Michael K. Obeng explained why the injections can be so dangerous.

"Most of these illegal injections are made with silicone, and silicone or any foreign substance can migrate within the body, which can lead to infection and hardness over time, deforming parts of the body," he said.

"And as with any injection, it can go into your bloodstream," he continued. "And if it gets in the bloodstream, it can block the blood vessels and cause necrosis [or dead tissue]. So that's a huge danger."

Gomez's restitution hearing is scheduled for July 20.

Bunnie Xo appeared to hint at relationship troubles in a cryptic social media post shared just days after Jelly Roll filed for divorce.

The Dumb Blonde podcast host, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, posted a TikTok on May 20 featuring the caption: "Women's intuition when that s*** don't add up."

In the video, the 46-year-old looks around as though she has suddenly realized something before sitting upright and appearing to mouth, "Mother f***."

The post was uploaded two days after Jelly Roll filed for divorce in Williamson County, Tennessee.

Many fans have now taken to the comment section to share their reactions. "Bunnie was dropping the tea in real time, and we all did not clock it," one user said.

Another shared: "I swear I knew something was up the second she dropped this!" A third added: "Omg I’m watching her dropping crumbs for the big news. Glad I’m not the only one who had to come back."

The filing listed May 9 as the couple's separation date and cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for ending the marriage.

A series of cryptic posts

Bunnie's TikTok was just one of several social media posts that caught fans' attention around the time news of the divorce emerged.

Shortly before the filing became public, she shared a lingerie photo of herself removing a bra strap.

The image included the caption: "She's getting her sparkle back," and was accompanied by Metric's song 'Help I'm Alive'.

She later shared a screenshot of a text message that read: "Come here, let me show you what love feels like," alongside J. Cole's 'Power Trip'.

Another post featured a reposted Snoop Dogg Reel displaying the text: "'You're embarrassing cut it out.'"

The clip then continued: "Me about to take it up a notch:" alongside footage of a dancing monkey.

Divorce filing reveals details of separation

The divorce filing came as a surprise to many followers of the couple, particularly after they appeared happy together at the Grammy Awards earlier this year.

While accepting the award for Best Contemporary Country Album, the 'Wild Ones' musician publicly praised his wife during his speech.

"I want to thank my beautiful wife," he said. "I would have never changed my life without you. I would have ended up dead or in jail. I would have killed myself if it wasn't for you and Jesus. I thank you for that."

Court documents show the musician has hired prominent Nashville attorney Rose Palermo to represent him during the proceedings.

Palermo has previously worked on several high-profile celebrity divorces, including Billy Ray Cyrus' split from Firerose, Kristin Cavallari's divorce from Jay Cutler, and Maren Morris' breakup from Ryan Hurd.

The singer is also asking the court to approve a Marital Dissolution Agreement that would provide for an "equitable division of the parties' assets".

The couple reportedly owns a mansion in Nashville and a 500-acre farm outside the city.

Following the filing, Bunnie retained attorneys Neil Campbell and Marykate E. Williams of Campbell Perky Johnson, PLLC.

TMZ later reported that the divorce was a "mutual decision by the two and a private family matter."

With the couple making the headlines again this week, many people have been left wondering what Jelly Roll's stage name actually derived from.

Jelly Roll previously revealed that the name originally derived from his mother, but it was an encounter with a one-armed classmate that really sealed the deal.

The singer was born on December 4, 1984, and grew up in Antioch, near Nashville, Tennessee, and his mother originally coined the nickname.

Revealing what he likes to be called, the singer explained on the Taste of Country Nights podcast: "I think people call me Jelly. If you know me, or feel like you know me, you call me Jelly.

"I respond to Jelly better than Jelly Roll. If you say Jelly Roll, I kinda go, 'Aww [expletive].' But if somebody goes, 'Hey Jelly!', I think they know me. Delete the Roll, man."

This week, it was revealed that Jelly Roll, 41, had filed for divorce from his wife, Bunnie, 46, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason.

According to court documents, Jelly Roll noted that he and Bunnie plan to file an agreement to divide their assets and debts.

He cited "irreconcilable differences," with court filings revealing that he and Bunnie, real name Alisa DeFord, were "unable to live together successfully as husband and wife."

News of the divorce broke this week, as TMZ revealed that the artist made the move last month, but that it was a “mutual decision by the two and a private family matter.”

Bunnie Xo's open relationship comments

American podcast host Bunnie, who is known for hosting the Dumb Blonde Podcast, spoke on her show almost exactly one year ago about the intricacies of her relationship with Jelly, 41.

While she has also gone into detail about their sex life after Jelly lost weight, the 46-year-old took to her podcast in 2025 to address rumors of the couple being in an open relationship.

She explained: “You guys are clipping clips from like six years ago,

“One of them, finally, there was a clip that went around that said if I want to sleep with other men, I can. And people have just ran with this clip for years, and I know that I have addressed me and my husband’s situation.

"I don’t understand what part of we are not in an open relationship that people cannot comprehend," she insisted.

But the next part of Bunnie's explanation left many confused, as she went on: “The only thing that we don’t do, though, is try to control the other person,

“If I want to go sleep with another man, he’s not going to be like, ‘No, you’re mine.’ You can’t do that to people.

"Same goes for like if there was another woman, but this is all in the past. We have completely stopped all of those shenanigans because you can’t trust anybody in the world," Bunnie claimed, adding that "back in the day," that is how they viewed the relationship.

Bunnie said that they "don’t want to tell each other what we can and can’t do," claiming that they have "free will," which she says doesn't exist in an open relationship.

Bunnie reflects on past relationships

She claimed that Jelly Roll hadn't been in a real relationship before being with her, in another sweeping claim.

“Granted, he had been in a couple of 10-year relationships, but he had cheated on every one of them,” she said.

Bunnie added: “I had been cheated on, and I was in sex work. How am I going to be in sex work having sugar daddies, telling my husband, ‘No, you can’t sleep with other people.’ Like, you guys just don’t see the bigger picture.”

The podcast host then revealed that they are "both Christians," a topic that people like to ask about when discussing the topic.

She then revealed: “We love Jesus, and that is why we have changed the uniform of our relationship. It was never open for us to have to close it.

"I think that is where people don’t understand, because six years ago we were just learning how to talk to the internet. Everybody and their mom runs with that clip, but I’m so happy because one clip finally posted the whole clip."

The former sex worker claimed that people will "hear what they want to hear," and clip what they want from their interviews.

“The majority of the time, they’ll clip that, if I want to go sleep with other people, and it is so funny to me because we have brought more women into our relationship than ever any men," she admitted.

Bunnie left the sex worker industry in 2023, but claimed that some fans may feel bad for Jelly in their relationship, stating: "If you guys only knew."

The country star, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, removed all references to his estranged wife from his Instagram bio on Tuesday night. Fans quickly noticed the change after reports surfaced this week that the singer had filed for divorce after nearly a decade of marriage.

While neither Jelly Roll nor Bunnie Xo has publicly addressed the breakup, the bio edit has fueled speculation about where the former couple stands as their divorce proceedings move forward.

Instagram bio sparks reaction

Before the update, Jelly Roll's Instagram bio included a tag to Bunnie Xo's account along with a lock and key emoji, a nod to their relationship.

According to court documents, the singer listed May 9 as the couple's date of separation.

In the filing, Jelly Roll cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the divorce.

The pair married in August 2016 and do not share children together. However, Bunnie Xo, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, has been a stepmother to Jelly Roll's two children from previous relationships, daughter Bailee Ann, 18, and son Noah Buddy, 9.

Reports surrounding the breakup have also pointed to growing differences between the couple. Per The Daily Mail, the "conflict" between the pair had become "the talk of the town in Nashville."

One source alleged, "He’s preaching this Christian way of life … [and] at every turn she’s just kind of embarrassing him and wrecking every PR narrative that they’re trying to create."

The insider added that Bunnie Xo "just wants to be what she is."

Family reacts as reports emerge

People reported that the couple's relationship had "changed a lot" during Jelly Roll's recent health transformation.

The outlet claimed the 'Son of a Sinner' singer, who has reportedly lost more than 200 pounds in recent years, is "very focused on his future, his health and being around for a long time."

According to the report, the former couple are "no longer on the same page about certain things, including what they want their future to look like."

Jelly Roll's daughter, Bailee Ann, addressed the intense public interest in the divorce on TikTok on Tuesday.

Speaking directly to followers, she said, "I am disgusted at how invested everyone is in a very clearly private family matter. It’s f**king crazy. … Worry b[a]out your house not mine. I’m not speaking on it yet."

One of Donald Trump’s many biographers has made a startling claim about the President's alleged sex life with his wife, Melania Trump.

Somewhat surprisingly, author Michael Wolff alleges that the octogenarian POTUS has not had sex in years and does not even share a bedroom with his wife.

During the latest episode of the Inside Trump's Head podcast, Wolff revealed that despite being one of the most powerful people in the world, the 47th US president, who has been accused of sexual misconduct 28 times since 1970, is regarded as “post-sexual”.

Explaining Trump’s rather solitary lifestyle, the author claimed: "He is in this White House... this totally alone figure without any kind of... basic warmth.

"Even the people who are... the familiar faces are familiar only on a professional basis."

Things were different the first time around

Reportedly, things were slightly different during his first administration, as “he had Hope Hicks, who really tended to him. And now he has this woman, Natalie Harp," Wolff claims.

Hicks was Trump’s glamorous long-term aide, working as both White House Communications Director and as a counselor to the president during his first administration.

However, in a move that shocked the president, she testified for the prosecution against Trump during his hush money criminal trial in 2024, testifying that he wanted his alleged affairs with adult actress Stormy Daniels and Playboy model Karen McDougal covered up.

Since the trial, Trump allegedly "functions essentially... like an old-time monarch, you know. Who has... married someone for political reasons... as was done. And there was really no pretense of a... domestic life, and then he's tended to by factotums," according to Wolff.

The President and First Lady do not even share a bedroom

According to the author, First Lady Melania Trump, who is 24 years her husband’s junior, apparently resides in a separate bedroom.

Supporting this sentiment, Wolff’s co-host on the podcast, Joanna Coles, claimed: “Melania makes clear in her movie, which is about the 20 days and the run up to the inauguration: when you get to the inauguration, the one evening you think that a newly inaugurated president might want to have sex with his wife, she makes it very clear that they're going in completely separate directions at the end of the evening."

Allegedly, the couple sleeps in entirely separate sections of the White House, with Trump sleeping in the President's Bedroom on the second floor, while Melania occupies a separate private suite on the third floor.

Emily Ratajkowski has opened up about life after divorce, revealing the strict rules she set for herself while navigating dating as a single mother.

The model and author, 35, shared the details in a new essay for The Cut, where she reflected on raising her son while rediscovering dating following her split from Sebastian Bear-McClard.

The ex-couple share their son, Sylvester, also known as "Sly", who was born in 2021.

They separated less than a year after welcoming him and later finalized their divorce.

Ratajkowski reveals two rules

Looking back on her dating life as a single mom, Ratajkowski revealed she established two non-negotiable rules.

"I had rules: Never miss bedtime and basically no sleepovers. These were natural and easy to abide by," she wrote.

The model explained that no matter how late her evenings ran, she always made sure she was home for her son.

"After any one of our evenings spent together, feeling the beat of an encroaching hangover-induced migraine and knowing that my son would be awake early, hungry, and with a diaper to change, I would silently dress and slither out of Elder Millennial's front door," she wrote, referring to an unnamed person she had been dating.

"There was nowhere I’d rather be than when I woke up with my toddler, so no matter the number of martinis, I’d be fully dressed and out the door to relieve the sitter and be ready for my son’s 6AM "Maamaaaa!'" she continued.

She added that the man she was seeing often praised her commitment to motherhood: "Witnessing this, he'd tell me he thought I was a good mother. 'Single moms, man! Y'all are ah-mazing. Women are ah-mazing.'"

Marriage broke down after becoming parents

In the same essay, Ratajkowski spoke about the collapse of her marriage and the challenges that followed the birth of her son.

After becoming a mother, she described entering what she called "a violent transition into a new reality of screaming baby on my aching t*t and ring on my swollen finger".

According to the model, the relationship began to unravel during a period that "felt both instant and excruciatingly slow".

"Six months after my son was born, my husband and I stopped having sex," she wrote. "Less than a year later, we separated."

The couple officially split in 2022 after four-and-a-half years of marriage.

At the time, reports surfaced alleging that Bear-McClard had been unfaithful.

The following year, the actor was accused of sexual misconduct and inappropriate behavior involving teenage girls in a Variety investigation. He has not publicly responded to those allegations.

Learning to embrace life on her own

The supermodel admitted that one of the hardest parts of the divorce was how she believed others viewed her.

"Their furrowed brows, the pity in their faces as they delivered an 'I'm so sorry, Emily,'" she recalled. "I couldn't stand my pathetic reflection in their eyes. They saw me as someone who was unwanted, who had been left."

She also reflected on her childhood belief that becoming a single mother was something to avoid at all costs.

As a child, she believed it was "crucial" not to end up in that position because she viewed the label as "an insult".

Over time, however, her perspective changed. "I'd learned the hard way that being alone was better than most partnerships. I'd seen too much, discovered what many women do only when they get divorced in their mid-40s. I'd lived through the failure of a unit, yet I was barely into my 30s. This was my villain origin story," she wrote.

A personal trainer based in South Carolina has mysteriously disappeared, leaving authorities concerned for her whereabouts.

Elena Katherine Moore vanished after leaving the gym on Thursday last week (June 11), with surveillance footage revealing that she walked toward a wooded area behind a nearby Lowe’s Home Improvement store.

The 39-year-old was last spotted leaving Planet Fitness in Lexington, which is around 14 miles (22.5 km) from Columbia, at around 9:17PM.

The Lexington Police Department further stated that Moore signed in around 6:40PM, and was last seen in the same outfit that she had on at the gym - an olive-green zip-up hoodie and black athletic pants.

She was reported missing by her husband, Brannon Slice, the following day.

Police said this week that they do not suspect foul play and that they don't believe she is in danger, as per WIS News 10.

Police update on Moore's disappearance

The personal trainer was last seen at Planet Fitness, as police said that her disappearance was "very out of character," in a statement to ABC News.

In the days since, authorities have deployed a drone and searched the area where Moore vanished, but could not find her.

Lexington police joined other bodies in conducting an extensive search of the wooded area Moore headed towards, though later noted "no trace of Ms. Moore was found during the operation."

However, law officers said that this search was not a recovery effort, instead being an attempt to eliminate a location where the missing party could be.

More photos of Moore were released by police on Tuesday, which include images from a front door camera just a week before she vanished, in the hopes that someone recognizes her.

It was revealed that Moore had a phone with her at one point, though it isn't known if she still has it.

Speaking to USA Today, the Lexington police explained: “Investigators are attempting to track it, but cell phone carriers often take time responding to search warrants.”

Moore, a personal trainer at Wolf’s Fitness Center and a pharmacy technician at CVS, has been described as 5 feet 7 inches tall (170 cm) and 120 pounds (54 kg), with brown hair and brown eyes.

Moore's loved ones speak out

A friend of Moore's named Lauren Beasley spoke to Fox News about their last conversation, which was around a month ago, and said the personal trainer seemed normal.

She recalled: “She did not say anything personal about anything she was going through. She got married last year, but she didn’t say anything about her relationship or work or anything personal.”

But Beasley noted that her friend stopped posting on social media around a month before vanishing, claiming: “She is very active on social media so her going radio silent for the last month is out of character.”

She has not posted on Facebook or Instagram since April.

Moore's husband reportedly wrote below a now-deleted Facebook post that his wife was "not well," according to the publication.

During a controversial speech at an event in New York this week, actor Robert De Niro hit out at US President Donald Trump by comparing him to an abuser.

The Taxi Driver star claimed that he could not love his native United States while it is being run by Trump at the Rise Up, Sing Out concert, held in defence of the First Amendment.

Many household names, including Patti Smith, Sasha Allen, Julia Roberts, and Jane Fonda, attended and performed at the event, which aimed to shed light on the freedom of speech, religion, and the right to hold the government accountable.

In his speech, which has since gained global attention, De Niro explained that in September, he signed a letter protesting late-night host Jimmy Kimmel being taken off the air. According to the national treasure, he objected to one particular line in the letter, which said, "We love our country regardless of political affiliation."

Addressing the crowd, he said, "The phrase, ‘We all love our country,’" stuck in my throat.

"Because our country isn't so lovable right now. I hate to say it, but loving our country is starting to sound like an abused spouse saying they love their abuser."

Rise Up, Sing Out was hosted in protest of a White House fighting spectacle

Hosted on the same day as the UFC Freedom 250, an event commemorating the 250th birthday of the United States, with a series of fights at the White House, which attracted millions of viewers, the concert was allegedly held in opposition to the hedonistic spectacle.

Referencing the mixed martial arts event, De Niro opened his speech with a gag mocking it. He said, "Welcome to all of you who couldn’t get tickets to the White House cage fight.”

However, his tone swiftly changed as he went on to list the reasons that he finds his birthplace unlovable.

De Niro explained, "I can't love a country that starts stupid and inhumane wars, killing thousands of innocents and indirectly causing the deaths and suffering of millions more.

Speaking out about US foreign and domestic policies, the actor who has spent his career depicting the bad guy persona said, "I can't love a country that sends out masked militias to shoot citizens in the streets, torture our neighbors, and separate families.

"I can't love a country that's led by a racist, misogynist, xenophobic tyrant. And let me just say it: I can't love the country that's led by Donald Trump and his sycophant Congress."

Hitting back at De Niro, White House spokesman Steven Cheung said to Fox News, "Robert DeNiro is a washed-up has-been who hasn’t been relevant in 30 years.

"Now, he just beclowns himself by spewing hate speech and inciting violence against others. Instead of embarrassing himself every time he speaks, he should seek immediate treatment for a debilitating case of Trump Derangement Syndrome that has rotted his peanut-sized brain."

An American inmate has opened up about some of the thoughts he's had on his own life after being arrested and convicted.

Texas native Jeremy Busby was sentenced to 75 years in prison after being convicted of murder in 1999.

Just 19 at the time of the shooting, he was with a woman when they were approached by two men in a motel parking lot, who became hostile as they believed he was there to buy drugs.

They were mistaken, Jeremy says, and after he was threatened with physical violence and tried to stop the situation from escalating, he fatally shot the man because he feared for his life.

With no previous arrests for violence, Jeremy was held for four months in Dallas County Jail, as his website JoinJeremy adds that he "was represented at trial by a defense attorney who conducted no pretrial investigation and called no witnesses."

An all-white jury would find him guilty, and Jeremy remains incarcerated, almost 20 years after the “Stand Your Ground law” was codified in Texas back in 2007, which supporters argue would have strengthened his self-defense claim.

Jeremy Busby's regrets about life

The Texas-based prisoner spoke exclusively to VT about his experiences both before prison and after spending over 25 years behind bars.

Jeremy opened up about losing his single mother at age three, while also growing up in the foster care system, surrounded by drugs, guns, and violence.

"I grew up in a poverty-stricken neighborhood. My mom was kidnapped and murdered when I was three years old, and that set off a bunch of negative consequences in my life," he said.

Jeremy explained: “Most of those negative consequences prohibited me and stagnated my growth, and prohibited me from understanding what humanity or life was really all about."

“It was only after I came to prison that I realized that the world is a lot bigger than the crime-ridden neighborhood that I grew up in, for example, that average people don't carry guns and don't settle disputes with violence,” the inmate admitted.

Jeremy has since become an academic and a journalist while in prison, taking time to attend college and work on his craft.

Reflecting on his life in the outside world, he admitted: "I was surrounded with crime, a bunch of poverty and poor education - my world was very, very small and I didn't have an outlet to see the bigger picture of people who were going to work and developing their skills, going off to college..."

He admitted that these concepts were first introduced to him in prison, adding: "Those are the only things I can actually say that I wish I had done differently; it wasn't very much that I could have done differently."

The issues with society

Jeremy spoke about some of the issues in society and how people with challenging socioeconomic backgrounds can struggle to be successful, stating: "I wish that there were more resources for people like me."

The journalist, who works for the prison's newspaper, added: "Because all the resources and all the things we're taught are very limited, there wasn't very much that I could do with the information that I had."

He said his life was transformed after going to prison because he gained greater access to information.

"That's pretty much the nutshell about my youth, because I committed this crime at the age of 19, and I've been in prison ever since."

Speaking about the failed structure of society, Jeremy said: "I think we are still faced with the same situations here in prison.

"I see young guys come in all the time, that reminds me of my 19-year-old self; they have a single-parent household, sometimes they grow up as an orphan as I did, and they don't have any positive role models."

Jeremy believes that this is an issue that needs to be resolved to stop this vicious cycle, also citing a lack of positive role models.

He then made a powerful revelation about many in similar situations to him: "The first time they left their neighborhood, the crime-ridden ghetto they grew up in, is when they got in the back seat of the police car.

"The first time that they left the city where they grew up is when they were transported to the prison system, so it's hard to expect people who wake up surrounded by gang violence, drugs, and poverty, as well as people who are suffering from drug addiction and mental illness."

He also opened up about strain theory, which Jeremy says explains how society functions across the world, as "people have to work with the resources that they have available to them."

"When you don't have the proper resources available, then you have to utilize abnormal methods," the inmate said.

Jeremy explained: "There are solutions to fix that. And sadly, in the 28 years, this is my 28th year in prison, I have seen little to no change in any of it."

Looking back at his sentencing, Jeremy candidly admitted: "I remember minutes afterwards they locked me into this jail cell. I was all by myself, and I stayed there for, like, about an hour, and I was constantly thinking about what that meant for me."

"What it really means is that I'm going to have to spend at least the next 30 calendar years inside of prison before I become eligible for release back into society, and that hit me pretty hard."

Gen Z are bucking the sexual trends of the generations before them - and there's certain things that Millennials are known for that the simply won't do.

Sexual trends are known to change over the years, with new fads coming and going depending on what's 'in' at the time.

While sexual freedom has only increased over the decades, it appears that Gen Z are the first generation to push back on certain elements of it, compared to their predecessors.

While many Millennials are familiar with the so-called "walk of shame" the morning after a hookup with a sexy stranger, Gen Z are apparently not indulging in casual sex or one night stands.

According to a new report into "sex trends" by adult toy retailer Lovehoney, young people are more interested in meaningful encounters than one night stands.

Elisabeth Neumann, sexologist and head researcher at global sex toy retailer, revealed to news.com.au that the seismic shift in hook-up culture does not mean Gen Z are more "prudish", but that they are reacting to a changing dating climate.

It's no surprise that dating has changed significantly with the rise of dating apps (and the associated fatigue of dry conversations with strangers) as well as the cost of living crisis, and the decline in nightlife following the pandemic.

Neumann explained: "With more than a quarter of late-night venues closed since 2020, we’re seeing a real shift in how young people approach alcohol and night-life."

For Millennials and above, going out drinking and catching eyes with a stranger across the bar was a rite of passage, but the new research shows that only half of 18 to 24 year-olds have had a drunken sexual encounter, compared to nearly 70 per cent of 25-to-34-year-olds and almost three-quarters of 35-to-44-year-olds.

The report notes that "without the inhibition-lowering effects of alcohol or specific spaces where hooking up is socially sanctioned, it’s no wonder that one-night stands are in decline."

The ongoing cost of living crisis also means many younger people are living at home with their parents for longer, which doesn't make bringing a stranger back particularly easy - so it's no wonder that 77% of those surveyed say they'd never bring a one-night-stand home.

Neumann added: "This generation has been brought up in a society that treats sexuality in a completely different way to their parents.

"Gen Z aren’t rejecting intimacy, they’re being more intentional about it, attaching more meaning to sex and seeking connection on their own terms."

This also means that Gen Z is having far less sex overall than the generations that came before them (no pun intended).

The survey reports that participants aged 46-61 are having sex on average 62 times a year, which is almost twice as often as those surveyed from Gen Z, who reported having sex just 36 times a year.

Gen Z and Millennials are both feeling "burnout" with the slog of meeting people on apps with 78% reporting "severe swipe burnout and scepticism".

Neumann warns: "Digital intimacy, from sexting to dating apps, can replace real-world experiences of touch and connection, which can leave us more disconnected."

When it comes to how Gen Z are actually meeting potential partners with all the odds stacked against them, it turns out that many are returning to the old-fashioned way of meeting people in real life.

Newly revealed divorce documents have shed light on why Jelly Roll decided to end his marriage to Bunnie Xo after nearly a decade of marriage.

The country superstar, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, filed for divorce from his wife on May 18 in Williamson County, Tennessee, citing "irreconcilable differences".

The filing came as a surprise to many fans, particularly after the couple appeared as loved-up as ever at the Grammy Awards in February.

High-profile lawyers brought in as divorce proceedings begin

The artist has enlisted Nashville attorney Rose Palermo to represent him during the proceedings.

Palermo is known for handling several high-profile celebrity divorces, including Billy Ray Cyrus' split from Firerose, Kristin Cavallari's divorce from Jay Cutler, and Maren Morris' breakup from Ryan Hurd.

In the filings, he asked the court to approve a Marital Dissolution Agreement that would allow for an "equitable division of the parties' assets".

The pair share significant property holdings, including a mansion in Nashville and a 500-acre farm outside the city.

Shortly after the divorce filing was submitted, Bunnie responded through her legal team, Neil Campbell and Marykate E. Williams of Campbell Perky Johnson, PLLC.

TMZ later reported that the separation was a "mutual decision by the two and a private family matter."

Social media posts spark speculation

Hours before news of the divorce became public, Bunnie shared a series of cryptic social media posts that quickly caught fans' attention.

One post featured a photo of the podcast host posing in lingerie while removing a bra strap.

The image carried the caption: "She's getting her sparkle back," accompanied by Metric's song 'Help I'm Alive'.

Around an hour later, she shared a screenshot of a text message that read: "Come here, let me show you what love feels like." The post was paired with J. Cole's 'Power Trip'.

Bunnie also reposted a Snoop Dogg Instagram Reel featuring the text: "'You're embarrassing cut it out.'"

The couple overcame major struggles during their relationship

The pair first met at one of Jelly Roll's performances at Las Vegas' Country Saloon in 2015 before beginning a relationship shortly afterward.

About a year later, the 'All My Life' singer proposed on stage in Las Vegas, and the couple eloped in a courthouse ceremony the very same night. In 2023, they returned to the same Las Vegas chapel to renew their wedding vows.

Throughout their marriage, Bunnie often spoke openly about the challenges they faced as a couple, including a difficult period following Jelly Roll's alleged infidelity.

"When I found out about it, I was devastated," she said earlier this year. "I was hurt because I didn't think he would be the one person to do that. I thought he was different. And at that moment, my heart was broken."

She reflected on their unconventional beginnings, saying: "I think a lot of people need to realize that coming into this marriage, we weren't a traditional bride and groom.

"I was a working girl, and he was an ex-drug dealer – a gangster-turned-struggling artist," she added.

The popular podcast host also recalled a disastrous marriage counselling session that nearly ended their relationship.

"It was stepping on a grenade. We were just screaming at each other," she said. "We left that therapy session that day, and I was like, 'This is it. We're never going to be together again.' And I think he felt the same way, too."

Despite those struggles, the couple remained together and even documented Bunnie's lengthy IVF journey as they tried to have a child together.

Also, during the interview, Blue spoke about the hopes she has for her baby’s future. When asked if she would allow the unborn child to follow in her footsteps, she said: "If they wanted to do it, they can do it. I'm not saying I'd encourage it.

"It is not necessarily an industry I recommend. I originally got into this for money as opposed to enjoying it. Over time, I have learned to enjoy it. For them, they might just do charity work for the rest of their life or they might just stick to doing hobbies."

A bungee jump worker made a startling admission to police after a 21-year-old woman plunged 130ft to her death when she was thrown from a bridge without a safety rope attached.

Luis Felipe Feliciano Egoroff, 32, Vitor de Freitas Gonçalves, 27, and Maicon Fernandes Cintra, 42, were arrested following the death of Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas in Limeira, Brazil, on Saturday.

The aspiring teacher and sports management student fell after being launched from Skeleton Bridge during a bungee jump.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Workers say they 'can't remember' who carried out final safety checks

Police footage reportedly shows the three men struggling to explain the error during questioning.

Luis and Maicon admitted they were responsible for setting up the ropes before the jump, but neither could clearly explain who was responsible for which tasks.

Luis, who said he earned around $34 per jump, told investigators that responsibilities were not assigned to specific team members and that equipment checks were carried out together.

When asked who performed the final safety inspection before Maria's jump, he replied: "I can't remember," per The Sun.

According to reports, Maicon gave the same answer.

Witness claims worker removed camera from victim

Vitor told police he was called to assist Maria after the fall, but could not explain what happened to a camera she had been holding before the jump.

However, witness Rafael Goulart alleged he saw an employee remove the device from the victim after the incident.

"The first scene I remember when I saw the girl on the ground was seeing one of the employees removing the GoPro camera from the neck strap of the body that was already on the ground, either worried about the equipment or wanting to hide evidence," he told EPTV.

The three men have since been charged with homicide with implied malice.

Their lawyer, Rafael Gomes dos Santos, said he strongly disagreed with the classification of the crime.

In a statement, he said the accused never intended or assumed the risk of causing Maria's death.

He described all three as passionate about the sport who had never experienced previous problems, calling the tragedy a "sad fatality".

Final social media post shared before fatal jump

Just minutes before the accident, Maria shared a post on Instagram showing the view from Skeleton Bridge. "Who was the crazy person who let me jump off a bridge???" she wrote.

In other posts, she documented her day at the attraction, sharing pictures of her identification wristbands, the location, and even some of the employees involved in the jump operation.

According to local reports, the young woman was unaware that a crucial safety rope had not been attached to her harness before she was thrown from the bridge.

Horrifying footage captured the moment two workers carried her in a Superman-style position before launching her into the air.

Seconds later, shocked witnesses realized something had gone terribly wrong.

Footage reportedly shows the unused rope still lying on the platform as Maria began falling.

Voices can be heard shouting: "The rope, people, the rope."

The tragedy unfolded in front of several witnesses, including Maria's fiancé, who reportedly became ill after learning she had died. Emergency services provided him with medical assistance at the scene.

Police allege some of the workers involved changed their clothes after the incident, while at least two tried to escape.

Authorities said they were apprehended shortly afterwards near the Ponte do Esqueleto trail after a helicopter tracked them down.

Officials in Limeira are investigating how the fatal accident occurred and whether adequate safety measures were in place.

Meanwhile, Maria's distraught mother, Valdenia Rodrigues, has spoken publicly about her grief.

"That damn rope took you forever from me," she reportedly said, per ITV. "My beloved daughter, you left, and here there is only pain and longing. I love you forever."

A mother of six has been charged with incest after allegedly sleeping with two of her adopted teenage sons, as disturbing text messages have been unveiled.

Amber Swain was arrested in May after her estranged husband, Daniel, reported her to authorities, according to the Daily Mail.

He filed a report with Washington's Department of Children Youth and Families, raising concerns about her relationship with the two teens, aged 17 and 18.

Despite the claims, she has pleaded not guilty.

Daniel even handed in several chilling text messages to help with the case against his wife, a teacher whom he has separated from.

Court documents reveal that one of the texts showed that one of Amber's adopted sons said he wanted to sleep in her bed again, wanting "it to happen again. Just once."

Text messages between Amber Swain and her sons

After one of her adopted sons made the request, she replied: "No, I love you so much," according to the affidavit.

"Nothing like that is ever going to happen. You will find someone who you love being with like that and care about."

The mom is a former executive director of a nonprofit that supports children in the foster care system, called Spokane Angels.

She was arrested on June 2, weeks after her husband alerted authorities, as she had been accused of starting a sexual relationship with at least one of the boys in December 2025, when he was just 17.

Authorities revealed that the Washington-based teacher adopted one of the boys involved after meeting him as a third grader in her classroom in 2017.

One of the boys alleged that he'd had sex with his mom "many times," with the latest incident at the time happening just two days before a police interview.

The boy claimed that his adoptive mom asked, "Should we be doing this?", during the first encounter, to which he said, "Yes."

Apparently, the teenager wanted it to happen again, as he became suspicious that his mom was sleeping with his sibling, after finding her underwear in his room and finding them locked in a room together.

He claimed he'd fallen asleep in Amber's bed one night, and woke to find her climbing in next to him, a "normal" occurrence as they had "cuddled since he was young."

Teenager opens up on bed-sharing incident

When asked by officers, he said: "Things got handsy, that's all I'm going to say."

He recalled that he put his hand under Amber's clothing and even "changed positions several times," but after two minutes, she moved his hand away and said they couldn't do this, stopping it.

Amber denied any sexual contact with her adopted son, though later said that he touched her leg while she was asleep, and that she froze and moved it away twice.

She then told police that she didn't know why, but she "leaned in," claiming that she might have been "half asleep or something" before pushing his hand away.

While Amber originally denied any sexual contact with the other boy in question, she admitted to having sex with him, starting in February this year.

However, the victim claimed it started in December, meaning he would have been 17 at the time, but his adoptive mother said that he got the dates wrong - his 18th birthday was in January.

Amber then switched her story and claimed her timeline could be wrong instead.

No-contact orders obtained by the Daily Mail showed the younger alleged victim was 16 at the time of Swain’s arrest.

Authorities took action

Following her admission, police seized her phone, despite her objections that they had no right to take it without a warrant.

The teacher would be charged with incest in the first degree, incest in the second degree, and sexual misconduct with a minor in the first degree.

Having pleaded not guilty at her arraignment last week (June 8), she faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted on the most serious count.

Amber is known for her advocacy for fostering and adoption, often taking to social media in the past to encourage others to consider the options.

But in one clip, she spoke about how she felt about the boy who would become her adopted son, explaining: "Throughout the year, I just grew to love him,

"I saw his resilience, his potential and just grew to love him. He really inspired my husband and I to start fostering."

Amber and her estranged husband started caring for the boy and his brother, with the couple starting to foster a third boy before adopting the trio in November 2019, adding them to the three biological children in their family.

Amber has been placed on administrative leave from Pend Oreille River School, the Newport School District's alternative high school, ahead of her trial on October 6.

Jelly Roll's daughter has spoken out in the wake of her father's divorce from his wife, Bunnie Xo, after 10 years of marriage.

As previously reported, Jelly Roll, real name Jason DeFord, filed for divorce in Williamson County, Tennessee, on May 18.

He and Bunnie had originally started dating in 2015 after meeting at one of Jelly Roll's Las Vegas shows, with the pair tying the knot a year later, after he proposed to Bunnie on stage.

However, 10 years after their 2016 wedding, the couple has decided to call it quits, though neither has yet released a statement publicly.

Fans spotted that Jelly Roll's 18-year-old daughter, Bailee Ann, shared a message after the news went public, addressing her dad's divorce.

Bailee took to her story on TikTok to write: "Oh & one more thing I am disgusted at how invested everyone is in a very clearly private family matter. It's fkn crazy."

She added: "Go on somewhere yall. Worry bout your house - not mine. I’m not speaking on it – yet."

She then shared a further post thanking those who'd showed her "love and kindness", adding: "I understand & respect opinions and that a public profile is a public profile, but that doesn't have to mean we throw away our human decency."

As well as Bailee, Jelly Roll is also father to a son, nine-year-old Noah Buddy, from previous relationships. He and Bunnie do not share any children of their own.

The 'Son of a Sinner' star, 41 cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the divorce from Bunnie, 46.

According to court documents, Jelly Roll noted that he and Bunnie plan to file an agreement to divide their assets and debts.

Rumors that the couple were parting ways began in June after Jelly Roll was seen without his wedding ring at the 2026 CMA Fest in Nashville.

A moving truck was also seen outside the home the couple shared in Tennessee, though it is not known which partner was the one moving their belongings out at the time.

Earlier in the year, the couple had appeared loved up at the Grammy awards, where they were seen sharing kisses.

Jelly Roll also shared a heartfelt tribute to Bunnie in his speech after winning Best Contemporary Country Album.

French President Emmanuel Macron and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's hot mic conversation revealed how the two leaders planned to navigate talks with Trump at the G7 Summit.

The exchange took place as world leaders gathered for talks on some of the biggest geopolitical challenges facing the international community, including the wars in Ukraine and Iran.

After greeting each other, Macron asked Zelensky how long he planned to remain at the summit.

The 38-year-old Ukrainian leader appeared to explain that he could only stay for one more full day before travelling to Brussels on Thursday.

The French president then asked whether a "bilateral [unintelligible] being organized," to which Zelensky replied: "With President Trump?" cited by Daily Mail.

The pair then lowered their voices for more than 20 seconds before Macron could be heard saying: "Okay, we'll arrange that."

The brief conversation fuelled speculation that the leaders were discussing plans for a meeting with the 80-year-old US president away from the public eye.

Moments later, Macron mentioned an upcoming G7 meeting before both men spoke quietly again.

Trump and Zelensky meet later in the day

Despite the secrecy surrounding the exchange, both leaders later met with Trump.

The meeting took place as Trump continued to have tense relationships with several of America's allies.

European leaders have expressed discomfort with the president's unpredictable second-term foreign policy, while the president has maintained a more difficult relationship with Zelensky than many other G7 leaders.

Their relationship hit a low point after a tumultuous White House meeting last February, when the president dramatically removed the Ukrainian president from the building.

Trump didn't receive a warm welcome

Earlier during the summit, footage showed Trump walking ahead of Macron and Zelensky as they entered a working session.

After reaching the meeting table, he briefly stood alone before the two leaders joined him.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen later greeted the trio, first shaking hands with the two-time US leader and exchanging a few words before moving on.

She then greeted Macron with a smile, opened her arms and exchanged kisses on both cheeks, while Zelensky and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney also received warm embraces.

Ukraine remains a key focus

Although Ukraine is not a member of the G7, Zelensky attended the summit at the invitation of host nation France.

As Ukraine's war with Russia enters its fifth year, Zelensky is continuing to seek support from G7 countries. Fighting remains ongoing, with both sides still launching drone and missile attacks.

After meeting with world leaders, Zelensky outlined Ukraine's priorities.

"Priorities are clear," he wrote, per The Guardian. "More air defense missiles along with licenses to produce them, winter support package, and cranking up pressure on Russia. Importantly, the US is ready to provide backstop across these lines of effort."

He also described the gathering as a "multilateral meeting" and thanked fellow leaders for their participation.

Ukraine remained one of the summit's main topics despite recent attention being focused on tensions involving Iran.

During a meeting with Macron earlier in the summit, Trump said he had recently spoken with both Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"Now that this (Iran) is finished, we're going to be focusing on that," he reportedly said.

Macron has said he hopes to convince Trump to continue supporting Ukraine while putting more pressure on Russia to help secure a peace deal.

A couple who welcomed a baby that is not genetically related to them in December last year have announced that they plan to keep their child.

Following a lawsuit they filed against the Fertility Center of Orlando over the alleged major mix-up with embryos, Tiffany Score and Steven Mills will maintain custody of their baby.

It was only once Score gave birth to their daughter that the couple, who are both white, sensed a mistake had been made during their in vitro fertilization treatment as their baby “displayed the physical appearance of a racially non-Caucasian child.”

While the couple has said they love their daughter "more than words can express," they believed “they had a moral obligation to find her genetic parents”.

In April, Score and Mills announced that they had found out who baby Shea’s biological parents are, but plan to keep their identities “confidential” as they “fully intend to cooperate in respecting their privacy.”

Just three months after the bombshell discovery, an attorney for Score and Mills announced that her clients and the biological parents had “come to a mutually devised custody agreement.”

The legal agreement recognizes Score and Mills as the “permanent custodial parents of their daughter”, allowing them to enjoy parenthood hopefully without further disruptions.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Judge Margaret Schreiber shared her support for the agreement in a court hearing by saying, “I’m glad the parties have reached an agreement while this child is relatively young.”

Since the couple filed the lawsuit in January, just weeks after the birth of their daughter, they fought to keep her, claiming that they had an “intensely strong emotional bond” that started in pregnancy.

In the aftermath of this unusual case, which made global headlines, the Fertility Center of Orlando announced that it will be closed. Also, Score and Mills’ case against the clinic is on hold while genetic testing is carried out on a frozen embryo, which reportedly belongs to the couple.

Despite the major moral agreement that had to be reached by both sets of parents, Score and Mills say that they are committed to respecting the privacy of Shea’s biological parents, “with whom they have begun and intend to continue to foster a relationship of friendship and trust.”

In a statement previously obtained by People Magazine, the couple said that by taking legal action, they hoped to "begin living more freely and to finally celebrate the one beautiful thing that has come from all of this: our daughter."

Influencer Emilie Kiser has spoken publicly for the first time about the loss of her son Trigg, more than a year after the three-year-old died following a drowning accident at the family's Arizona home.

The 27-year-old content creator appeared on Jay Shetty's On Purpose podcast on June 17, marking her first formal interview since the tragedy in May 2025.

While Kiser has regularly shared updates about her grief journey with her millions of followers on TikTok, the podcast offered a deeper look at how she has navigated life after losing her eldest son while raising her younger child, Theodore "Teddy," now one.

During the conversation, Kiser reflected on how quickly life can change.

"Losing a child really shows you in the scariest, most real way possible just how quickly life can change, and how quickly life can be literally taken away," Kiser told Shetty.

She also spoke about the decision she faces every day as a mother.

"I always try to remind myself that I have a choice to make," she continued. "I can either let this completely derail me more than it already has, and not really feel like I'm fit or able to take care of my younger son, or I can do everything in my power to be the best mom I possibly can for him, and give him the same love that Trigg had and has."

Trigg died six days after pool accident

Trigg was hospitalized after falling into the family's backyard pool on May 12, 2025. Kiser was not at home at the time of the accident, while her husband, Brady Kiser, was caring for Teddy.

The toddler died six days later on May 18.

According to the Chandler Police Department, Brady initially reported losing sight of Trigg for three to five minutes before finding him in the pool. Police later said video evidence showed the child had been unsupervised in the backyard for more than nine minutes and in the water for about seven minutes.

Months later, investigators recommended that Brady face a Class 4 felony child abuse charge. However, the Maricopa County Attorney's Office announced on July 25, 2025, that he would not be charged, stating there was "no likelihood of conviction."

In court documents that later became public, Kiser said she and her husband were concerned about details of the case being released as they attempted to process their loss.

"Our love for our children has been shared and expressed worldwide, given my role as a social media personality with many 'followers' across a number of social media platforms," Emilie told the court. "Nothing we have shared as part of my profession has depicted or been intended to depict anything but deep and adoring love within our family. That is how it should stay forever in my mind and the minds of all others."

Learning to live with grief

Nearly a year after Trigg's death, Kiser responded to a TikTok follower who asked how she had "healed" and forgiven her husband.

"You don't heal from the loss, you learn to live with the grief," she wrote. "Lots of therapy and consistently. As well as realization that everyone deserves love, empathy, and forgiveness. And not giving a crap about other peoples opinions, which therapy helps with."

Shortly before the first anniversary of the tragedy, Kiser stepped away from social media for what she described as a "much-needed" break.

When she returned, she said she was grateful for the time away, explaining that it allowed her to spend time with her family and experience the emotions that came with what she called the hardest month of their lives.

Why she's continuing to speak about water safety

In the lead-up to the anniversary of Trigg's death, Kiser shared several videos discussing water safety and reflecting on her family's experience.

In a TikTok posted for Water Safety Awareness Month, she described her son's death as "very preventable."

"This is a topic that I will continue to talk about when I feel comfortable, because it is so extremely hard to talk about, and I hope that people can understand that," she said. "Our son's death was very preventable. It was an accident, but it was a preventable accident. I will always take full accountability for that, because as a parent, it is your job to protect your child."

Kiser also highlighted the dangers drowning poses to young children.

"Drowning is the number one cause of death in children three and under," said Emilie. "And that is an extremely hard statistic to swallow because I truly just can't believe how much it happens."

She urged parents to take extra precautions around pools and other bodies of water.

"I really hope that if you see this video, you please, please, please install a pool fence. Make sure you have door alarms. Make sure if you have door alarms, all of your batteries are updated. Please make sure that you watch your children around water," Emilie said.

Former Top Gear and The Grand Tour presenter Jeremy Clarkson has revealed that he's been diagnosed with cancer.

The heartbreaking news was announced in the final episode of the fifth series of Clarkson's Farm, which was released on Wednesday (June 17).

It is not clear when exactly the footage was filmed, but the season was shot in 2024 and 2025.

A sixth season of the popular reality farming show has not yet been commissioned with Prime Video, despite its popularity.

Clarkson can be seen revealing the news to series regulars Kaleb Cooper and Charlie Ireland, who were left shaken by the bombshell.

The 66-year-old didn't reveal the type of cancer he was diagnosed with, but noted that it was "aggressive," adding that a part of his prostate was removed as part of the treatment.

Jeremy Clarkson opens up on cancer diagnosis

Speaking about the news, Clarkson explained: "I disappeared off the other week, and I had a biopsy, and it is cancer, and it's aggressive, but it's really early."

He admitted that he had known of the news "since May," telling the two men, "I promise I'll be fine," though he admitted that he would be out of action "for a little while".

Hours before the release of the final two episodes, Clarkson took to Instagram and warned fans in a video that it would be a "difficult watch," and revealed that he had "some good news and some sombre news."

Clarkson promised his two colleagues and friends that he'll "be fine," while he noted: “So we started the year and I had coronary heart disease and ended it with me with cancer.

“We can dwell as much as we like on all the bad things that have happened on the farm but I think it is better now at the end of the year to focus on things that have happened that are good.”

The TV presenter's health has been center stage throughout the latest series of the programme, opening with Clarkson opening up about a heart procedure he underwent in October 2024.

The date of this year’s most talked-about celebrity wedding may have been mistakenly revealed by New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani.

Since a slip-up in a press conference this week, rumours have spread that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will say their nuptials at Madison Square Garden over the July 4th weekend.

The couple has both played at the venue, which is home to the reigning NBA champions, the New York Knicks.

The supposedly secret date and venue were revealed on Monday when he discussed the city’s plan for the hectic weekend at the beginning of next month.

On July 5, a World Cup match is being played in neighbouring East Rutherford, New Jersey, and it is set to coincide with a few other “big events” in the city.

This year's Independence Day weekend is going to be a big one

Mamdani said, “We are the biggest city in the country. We are used to big events, and we are incredibly excited for this one.

“We know it coincides with July 4, America 250, Taylor Swift’s wedding all happening at the same time.”

Reassuring locals, he also added that he is “fully confident in the work of the NYPD” to provide a “safe experience” over the chaotic three-day weekend.

Moments after making this statement, a reporter asked if he was invited to the Ophelia singer and Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end’s wedding. The journalist said,

“Have you been invited? Are you going?”

Through laughter, he replied, “No and no”. Mamdani quickly followed up with “I wish them a lovely wedding. I’ll listen to ‘Only the Young’ at home on my own.”

Although the Mayor’s comments did not confirm the exact location of the wedding, they confirmed that it will be taking place in the Big Apple.

This is not the first time rumours about the wedding have circulated

However, this could just be rumours as it was previously reported that the pop star and football player, both 36, were going to tie the knot on June 13 at Taylor’s $18 million Rhode Island home.

According to UsWeekly, the couple is expecting 150 guests, which will include many of the pair’s famous pals.

The couple announced their engagement in August last year with a joint Instagram post of pictures from the garden proposal with the caption: "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married."

Major issues dominate the summit agenda

The G7 consists of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Although Ukraine is not a G7 member, Zelensky was invited to attend by the host nation, France.

Other countries, including Brazil, India, Kenya, and South Korea, are also participating in selected discussions as partner nations.

One of the key topics on the agenda is Russia's ongoing war in Ukraine.

The discussions come after Trump announced what he described as a deal to end the three-and-a-half-month US war against Iran, a conflict that has overshadowed developments in Ukraine in recent weeks.

Trump shifts focus back to Ukraine

Speaking during a bilateral meeting with Macron on Monday (June 15), Trump revealed he had recently spoken with both Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"Now that this (Iran) is finished, we're going to be focusing on that," he said.

Macron has indicated he will try to persuade the US leader to maintain support for Ukraine while increasing pressure on Russia in an effort to secure a peace agreement.

Alongside Ukraine, leaders are also holding talks aimed at "ending crises and ensuring stability in the Middle East."

Representatives from Egypt, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates are expected to participate in those discussions.

Tensions remain between Trump and allies

The summit comes amid ongoing tensions between Trump and several of America's closest allies.

In recent months, the 80-year-old has clashed with Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni over his decision to launch military action against Iran without consulting them beforehand.

Trump has reportedly threatened consequences for their lack of support, including the possibility of withdrawing US troops from all four countries, each of which is a NATO member.

Despite the disagreements, leaders are hoping to work together during the summit as they tackle concerns over rising oil prices and disruption to shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.

Ahead of the gathering, France, Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom released a joint statement alongside Canada praising the US, Iran, and diplomatic mediators for what they described as a "diplomatic breakthrough".

"This is a moment of opportunity to restore regional stability and stabilise the global economy," the statement read. "It is now vital that the detailed negotiations are concluded and this agreement is implemented rapidly and comprehensively. We are ready to support that effort.

"The urgent re-opening of the Strait of Hormuz with unconditional and unrestricted freedom of navigation is essential. We are committed to playing our part to achieve this - in accordance with our respective constitutional requirements - including through a strictly defensive and independent mission to reassure commercial shipping and conduct mine clearance operations," they added.

At his heaviest, the Grammy-winner weighed around 550lbs (249kg), having previously explained that his nickname and stage name were inspired by his size.

"I’ve been fat my whole life," he previously told The Bobby Bones Show.

"[My mom] started calling me Jelly Roll when I was young, and I spent the next 20 years trying to grow into the name."

His weight loss journey eventually saw him lose more than 275lbs (124kg), dramatically changing both his health and daily life.

Speaking to Men's Health earlier this year, Jelly Roll described how difficult living at his heaviest had become.

"I was a prisoner to my own body," he said. "Dude, wiping my a** was a problem. Washing myself properly was a problem. Getting in cars. Every decision I made in life had to be based on my weight.

"If it could hold me, facilitate me, or fit me... people don’t think about every facet of, ‘I still want to be able to do that and I can’t,'" he added.

During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show in February, Bunnie revealed there had been another unexpected benefit to his transformation.

"He’s getting his confidence back, and he’s peacocking around. He’s got a little strut in his step, and I think it’s just the cutest thing," she gushed at the time. "He deserves to have a hot streak. I'm ready for him to just feel his best."

She then claimed that weight loss had a noticeable effect on a man's anatomy. "I will tell you that it is very true that when a man loses weight, it grows a lot," Bunnie told Stern, before saying that in her husband's case, his private parts had become "severely bigger".

"Oh God, he’s gonna kill me," she added with a laugh.

Bunnie Xo revealed how it affected their sex life

Speaking out in February this year, she explained how her love life with Jelly Roll changed following his dramatic weight loss.

The country artist once hit 540 lbs (245 kg), but managed to lose over half of that without the use of GLP-1 medication, getting down to 265 lbs (120 kg).

Speaking to Us Weekly, Bunnie Xo opened up about what she shared in her memoir, Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic: "We always had a sex life, but there were mountains and valleys that we had to go through - especially when he was so big."

She added that it was his "excitement and his new zest for life" which was refreshing, adding: “It’s so childlike and just giddy - just seeing him get to be the man that I always saw that he was.”

The 46-year-old went on: “Even when he was 500 pounds, this dude was an agile, big guy. I’m like, ‘You are athletic under that meat suit.’

"Now that he has the weight off of him, he just gets to be who I always knew that he was, and I think it’s brought a new sense of happiness to him. Any time he’s happy, I’m happy."

Jelly Roll also opened up about his own weight loss in an interview with Men's Health this year, explaining: "I was so fat that there came a moment in life that my wife and I had to put two queen beds beside each other because we couldn’t fit in a king bed anymore, I was just all over,

"Now it’s a totally different thing. I’m chasing her around the house. I’m like a teenage kid again! I’m like the Pink Panther – I bust out of every corner. And she opens the cabinet and I go, ‘Hi!’"

Jelly Roll had previously revealed that he couldn't get aroused due to his size.
