The coronavirus has forced millions of people to stay indoors, in a desperate bid to halt the spread of the contagious illness. With weeks, maybe even months, of quarantine ahead for many of us, one subject above all is making itself felt: how the heck do we stave off the boredom?

Some people might resort to binge-watching box sets, or may try to finally read War and Peace after procrastinating the door-stopper for so many years -but there's something else that might keep your mind occupied: old school board and card games.

Watch this video on why self-isolating during the coronavirus pandemic is so important:

If you're a card game fan then I have some good news for you: The card game Uno has recently had a total design makeover, which makes it look far more mature and sophisticated.

According to a recent report by HYPEBEAST, Uno has dropped its so-called 'Nonpartisan Pack' earlier this month and replaced its traditional multicolored deck with a sleek, minimalist remake designed by Brazilian designer Warleson Oliveira.

As you can see, the brand-new Minimalist edition features a premium blacked-out rear face and colors on the front, which are emblazoned with symbols and numerals to lend the cards a far more contemporary aesthetic.

The new deck will set you back around $10 each and will be available in stores very soon. So if you're looking for something to help pass the time on those long lockdown nights, then why not order yourself a deck now? It could be the perfect way to relive your childhood-  but with a far more grown-up twist this time around.

And remember, Uno recently revealed that stacking +2 and +4 cards is against the rules - so stop it!

We are urging all of our readers to adhere to the advice from their respective governments and medical bodies, and practice social distancing and self-isolation where required. Together, we will beat this.
