Beyoncé's new album has gone down very well with fans, with some even calling it "the best country album ever" - which is certainly a bold compliment!

The country album, Cowboy Carter, serves as the second installment in a potential trilogy following 2022's Renaissance. The album boasts a whopping 27-song tracklist, featuring collaborations with iconic names such as Dolly Parton, Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, Willie Nelson, and more.

Just under 24 hours since its release, Spotify announced that the Grammy-winning artist's venture into country music has become its most-streamed album in a single day for 2024 thus far.

This remarkable feat also marks the first time a country album has claimed such a title this year.

Before the full album release of Cowboy Carter on Friday, Beyoncé's single 'Texas Hold 'Em' soared to the top spot on the U.S. Top 50 chart, amassing over 200 million streams, per the Hollywood Reporter.

And after the 42-year-old singer unveiled her new tracks 'Texas Hold 'Em' and '16 Carriages' during the Super Bowl, she became the first Black woman to top Billboard's Hot Country chart.

Since its drop, fans have flooded social media with their reactions to this highly-anticipated project, marking Beyoncé's debut studio album in the country genre.

One person said: "If Beyoncé comes back to nashville can someone pls let me know because this is the best country album ever."

A second added: "Only Beyonce could make me like a country album like is there anything this woman can't do," while a third said: "Does anyone else feel like Beyoncé personally delivered them an Easter Basket full of little eggs."

"This the best country album I've ever heard #COWBOYCARTER," another X user wrote.

This project holds personal significance for the singer, who has previously expressed feeling unwelcome in the country music scene during her earlier attempts.

"This genre forced me to propel past the limitations that were put on me," Beyoncé shared on Instagram earlier this month. "Act II is a result of challenging myself and taking my time to bend and blend genres together to create this body of work."

The album gained more first-day streams on Amazon Music globally than any of her previous releases, marking it as the country album with the most first-day streams by a female artist in Amazon Music's history.

But it's not just fans who have raved about the new release. Critics have also heavily praised Beyoncé's latest offering, with The Telegraph's Neil McCormick calling it "a masterpiece" that has "reinvented Country music".
