Larry David has left fans in stitches after he expertly avoided answering a question about how rich he really is.

The Curb Your Enthusiasm star, 76, appeared on a new episode of the Max series Who's Talking to Chris Wallace?, where the pair covered a host of topics, including Donald Trump, and of course, money.

Given that Larry is known to be pretty well off given that he co-created Seinfeld as well as Curb Your Enthusiasm, Chris couldn't help but try and get to the bottom of just how fat that left his bank account.

He began his line of questioning by revealing that his dad, 60 Minutes star Mike Wallace, had always wanted to know how much people made, telling Larry: "My father always said, people are fascinated by how much rich people are worth. I remember him famously asking Johnny Carson once what he’s worth."

Larry then responded: "A terrible, terrible question to ask. Who does your father think he was, by the way? I hope that Johnny Carson said to him, 'Mike, none of your business. That’s none of your business.'"

Chris admitted that was pretty much the answer his dad got, but pressed on, asking Larry: "Over or under half a billion dollars?", referring to the net worth the internet thinks the actor has.

He replied: "I would say to your father, none of your f**king business, how about that? That’s ridiculous. That number is so preposterous, okay? Ridiculous."

Chris then asked: "How about $100 million?", to which Larry hilariously replied: "How about you shut up? Is that all right?"

Watch the interaction below:

So while he won't reveal the exact number, it's safe to say Larry probably isn't short of a dollar or two...

Chris later acknowledged that Larry did also pick up the check the last time the two of them had met up for dinner, after which he'd sent him a 'thank you' note, which further incensed the comic, who responded: "How many thank yous do we have to give out? Where does it say I have to send something the next day? You thank somebody when you leave! That’s enough!"

And those weren't the only classically Larry David outbursts to come from the chat, as he also called the former president of the United States, Donald Trump, "such a little baby".

He addressed why so many things seem to trigger him to rage, simply telling the host: "I have a very low tolerance for stupidity."

Fair enough.
