Rebel Wilson has revealed the reason she believes Adele hates her.

In her newest memoir titled Rebel Rising, which delves into the growth of the 44-year-old actor's career, Wilson opened up about why she potentially thinks there's a bit of beef between her and the British musician.

Wilson is beloved for her comedic performances in movies such as Pitch Perfect and Bridesmaids. Her ability to deliver witty lines and physical humor has long appealed to audiences around the world.

And many would agree that the Aussie actress is as radiant offscreen as she is on.

Wilson is often hailed as down-to-earth and relatable, which resonates with audiences. She has been open about her journey in Hollywood, including her struggles with weight and body image, which many people find inspiring.

However, it appears that not everybody is fond of her.

As per a report by the Independent, Wilson wrote in her memoir: "Some actresses would get offended if I called them plus-size in this book, so I have to be careful with what I say."

She continued: "This is why, I think, Adele hates me. There was a moment when she was bigger, and some people would confuse us for one another."

It was also reported that Wilson wondered in her book whether the 16-time Grammy winner just "didn’t like being compared to 'Fat Amy.'"

Both Adele and Wilson underwent massive weight-loss transformations back in 2020, unveiling their health regimes in the years coming. Adele reportedly shed 100 pounds while Wilson dropped nearly 80 pounds in about the same time frame which is likely why the star had all the comparison speculation around the subject.

Elsewhere in the memoir, she also revealed that there was an actor that she worked with that made her double down on her "no a**holes policy."

But upon finding out about the revelation, the actor - who was not named in the book - allegedly started taking legal action against the star.

Taking to her Instagram Reels on March 15, Wilson gave her fans an insight into the issue: "When I first came to Hollywood, people were like, yeah, ‘I have a no a**hole policy, [it] means like, yeah, I don’t work with a**holes.’ I was like, 'oh yeah. I mean, that sounds sensible or logical.'"

"But then it really sunk in [what they, the older people in the industry, meant] because I worked with a massive a**hole and yeah, now I definitely have a no a**holes policy," she continued.

"That guy was a massive a**hole," she added, telling fans to refer to chapter 23 if they wanted more details.

While at the time she did not name who she was referring to, an alleged incident between her and the anonymous star's lawyers over the weekend provoked her to directly name the culprit and it was none other than comedy legend, Sacha Baron Cohen.

"I wrote about an a**hole in my book. Now, said a**hole is trying to threaten me," Wilson said in a now-deleted Instagram Story as per a report by Us Weekly. "He’s hired a crisis PR manager and lawyers. He is trying to stop press coming out about my book. But the book WILL come out, and you will all know the truth."

In a separate follow-up Story, she added: "I will not be bullied or silenced by high priced lawyers or PR crisis managers. The 'a**hole' that I am talking about in ONE CHAPTER of my book is: Sacha Baron Cohen."

Wilson and Baron Cohen worked together on the 2016 comedy Grimsby where the Pitch Perfect alum played the girlfriend of Baron Cohen's character Nobby.

But it was Baron Cohen's actions throughout the filming of the movie that really left Wilson questioning who he was.

"Sacha is so outrageous," Wilson said at the time. "Every single day he’s like, 'Rebel, can you just go naked in this scene?' And I’m like, 'No!' Sacha and I have the same agent in America and I’m like, 'Sacha, I’m going to call our agent Sharon and tell her how much you are harassing me.'"

"Every day he’s like, 'Just go naked, it will be funny." she continued. "Remember in Borat when I did that naked scene? It was hilarious.' On the last day I thought I’d obviously won the argument, and he got a body double to do the naked scene."

However, that allegedly did not stop the actor from trying to crank things up in notch in the name of being "funny."

"Then in the last scene... he was like, 'Rebel can you just stick your finger up my butt?’ And I went, 'What do you mean Sacha? That’s not in the script,'" she added. "And he's like, 'Look, I'll just pull down my pants, you just stick your finger up my butt, it’ll be a really funny bit.'"

Yikes.

Rebel Rising is now available o purchase at major book retailers.
