As teens, we all had dreams of what the perfect prom would be. For some, it was their crush asking them out, a slow dance and their first kiss. Others were happy to just sneak some booze in, have a few shots and hang out with their mates all night. But rarely do things come together quite like the people on this list, whose dreams literally came true when their idols visited their prom.

1. Kylie Jenner

In August 2017, Jenner joined Albert Ochoa at Rio Americano High School in Sacramento after she heard of his problem. Kylie, who had never been to prom because she was home-schooled, heard that his prom date rejected him on social media so turned up to go with him.

"After prom, everyone wanted to be my friend," he told Teen Vogue. "I never expected so much attention in one night."

3. Katy Perry

5. Tupac

High school student Kia Chenelle wrote a letter to the rapper's fan club asking for him to be her prom date in 1996, and was shocked when he came to her door that night. "He was by himself," Kia later recalled to VH1. "No reporters no homies just 2pac Shakur at my doorstep. He also reportedly gave her $1,500 for her dress and arrived with a limo, staying the night for a few dances.

6. Justin Bieber

In 2015, Bieber crashed the Chatsworth High School prom as he was recording nearby. "Always wanted to go to prome," he later wrote on Twitter. "Thanks for having me."

10. Taylor Swift

Swift also tried out Once Upon A Prom, in 2008, after she missed out on her own prom due to her tour schedule. She chose Whit Wright out of 50 dateless guys at Hillcrest High School in Alabama, with the singer later telling PEOPLE that he was "so down to earth and all-American... he was unbelievably sweet".

My prom, like many others, was a pretty disappointing affair - but I know an appearance from Rihanna would have definitely made it a night to remember. And who knew Tupac would have gone for something like that?
