Ariana Grande has had a couple of the most traumatic years a human bring can have, so it was no surprise when she recently announced she'd be taking a break.

In a statement from her representative, the star admitted she needed time to herself to deal with the tragic news of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller's death, as well as the aftermath of the Manchester bombing.

"Given the events of the past couple of years, Ariana is going to take some much-needed time to heal and mend," it read. "She will be staying close to home and using this period to spend time with her loved ones and work on new music without deadline. She thanks her fans for their understanding."

One of the loved ones who will be joining the pop star in her hiatus is Mac's dog, Myron. A new Instagram post from the One Last Time songstress recently revealed that Ariana is taking care of the adorable pitbull mix after his owner's passing.

Uploading a sweet video of Myron sitting on the sofa next to her and showering her with kisses, Ariana added a hopeful caption, putting: "all the kisses. happy fall (sic)".

Her Instagram post followed a series of posts on Twitter, presumably directed at Mac. "love u i'm thinking of u... everything will be okay... i love u so v much (sic)," she wrote, the second tweet potentially a reference to a phrase her former boyfriend had on a sweater that he was wearing in a video she posted in tribute to him.

The Dang! rapper first adopted Myron in 2017 from Wylder’s Holistic Pet Center through The Wagmor, a pet hotel in Los Angeles, while he was still dating the No Tears Left To Cry singer. At the moment, it is not clear if Ariana has adopted the dog, or whether she is simply taking care of it for a while.

However, it certainly wouldn't be completely surprising if the pop star did choose to keep Myron, given the fact that she already has 9 rescue dogs of her own: Fawkes, Pignoli, Ophelia, Coco, Sirius, Cinnamon, Strauss, Lafayette and Toulouse.

In addition, back in August - before Mac's death - Ariana's mother gave a shout out to the pitball as one of her "chocolate labradoodle children" on National Dog Day.

"#NationalDogDay to my chocolate labradoodle children.. I love you all..." Joan Grande wrote. "Don Vito Corleone, Sirius Black, Ophelia.. and my newest babies: Francis Albert Sinatra and Madonna Luisa Veronica ... and all my love to A’s babies Toulouse, Coco, Laf, Strauss, Pignoli, Cinnamon & Myron"

It is expected that the God Is A Woman singer won't return to the stage for quite some time.

Recently, when one fan excitedly wrote on Instagram, "Why buy the iPhones when you can save that money for Meet & Greet for Ariana's next tour?" Grande herself allegedly responded with a since-deleted comment that read: "u gonna be saving for a looooong time."

It's good to hear that Ariana has Myron to keep her company during her much-needed hiatus.
