Breaking news, guys: Nicki Minaj has got herself into some drama.
Eh, who are we kidding? At this rate, 'drama' might as well be Minaj's middle name. From her feuds with Lil Kim, to her beef with Miley Cyrus, and now to her most recent spat with Travis Scott, Kylie Jenner, and - most bizarrely of all - baby Stormi, the Starships singer has certainly earned a reputation for herself as a bit of a pot-stirrer.
This latest feud was ignited by Scott's decision to rope in his famous family members in an attempt to sell more tickets to his tour - something that the rapper didn't take all that kindly to.
And, as if that wasn't juicy enough, Minaj then went on an R-rated rant about Scott on her radio show.
"What we're not gonna do is have that Auto-Tune man selling f**king sweaters telling you he sold half a million albums, because he f**king didn't," she said. "You stupid f**k. You got your f**king homeboy talking for you and you got your girlfriend selling tour passes. Stop it. Knock it the f**k off."
Wow.
Then, just to kick it up another notch, Minaj's pal Ariana Grande cropped up to stick her oar into the already-turbulent waters by throwing shade at Scott while on stage.
During a Sweetener Session in Chicago this week, the No Tears Left To Cry artist cracked a joke about her album potentially reaching the top of the charts, saying "We have three days left, you don’t know what Travis could pull" - the implication being that he might come up with another so-called stunt in order to outsell her as he did with Minaj.
This comes just a day or so after the internet fell in love with a short clip of the two musicians whispering to one another at the VMAs this week.
In the footage, the pair can be seen engaging in what appears to be a particularly shady conversation, leading many to believe that the two were discussing Minaj's ongoing gripes with Scott.
In more Minaj-related drama, the rapper recently encouraged her fans to go after a journalist who reported that she had cancelled her upcoming world tour.
"I haven’t CANCELLED anything," she clarified.
"I reversed the order of the US & EUROPEAN LEGS of my tour. This is for obvious reasons to anyone with a brain … My album was originally going to drop in June which would’ve given me 3 months of tour rehearsal. However, I was still writing & recording up to last week … I can’t rehearse 4 WEEKS for a tour I originally planned on rehearsing 3 months for. I give my fans QUALITY. I write & co produce my own music. Therefore, I can’t rehearse while I’m WRITING & RECORDING my album."
Jeez, at this rate, Minaj is going to have more ongoing feuds under her belt than she is live shows. I'd better not say that too loudly, though - otherwise I'll end up as her next target.
Nicki, Ariana, you ladies keep this one between yourselves. I'm getting out of here.
