Supermodel Gigi Hadid and singer Zayn Malik frequently lit up social media as one of the sexiest couples. On Instagram, they’ve each grown a massive following, sharing photos of their glamorous lives and gushing about how much they love each other. In the caption to a GIF of the pair cuddling, Gigi wrote "love this man more than I could ever put into words, & am inspired by his drive to be and do better everyday...I’m proud to be by your side."

And now she's proud to be far, far away. After two years of dating, Gigi and Zayn have decided to split up. I know. Love is dead. You thought maybe Zayn would declare with love for Gigi with a giant tattoo, and they'd get married, and have a dozen supermodel rock star kids. But it was not to be. Remember, they're young - 25 (Zayn) and 22 (Gigi) - so their breakup shouldn't be that surprising.  And the good news is, now they're both single! If you run into either of them in real life, you totally have a chance.

A source told The Sun they decided to call it quits because of their busy schedules, but they still get along:

"They are no longer a couple but they do remain close and are supportive of each other. The reality is that they’ve grown apart, having been together for a long time. They have crazy work schedules that would put pressure on any relationship.

This is definitely the end for now, but this isn’t a bitter split and they both have respect for each other. It’s a mutual decision so no one has completely ruled out a reunion in the future, but for now that’s not where their heads are at."
