Khloé Kardashian has been through a lot in the past year with a pregnancy, lots of family drama and not one - but two - cheating scandals.
Her love life was thrown into uncertainty once again this week, when it was alleged that her partner Tristan Thompson had been caught cheating with Kylie Jenner's best friend, Jordyn Woods.
Now, it has emerged that only hours before the news of her boyfriend being unfaithful broke to the public, she took to social media to post some cryptic messages about life, love, relationships and friendship.
All of her uploads to Instagram stories were fairly emotional, and it seems like there was a lot going through the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star's head at the time. It is uncertain as to whether she had been informed about the cheating rumours at the time she posted them - but that hasn't stopped fans analysing.
The first quote she posted was about toxicity, reading:
"I apologize if I was ever the toxic person in anyone's life. Whether I did you wrong, led you on, acted on impulse, let my emotions get the best of me, or walked away with no explanation. I'm maturing everyday and righting my wrongs, slowly becoming a better version of me."
Then, came a second upload that emphasised the fact that all she wanted was someone who would return her love and the energy she put into relationships:
"How someone makes me 'feel' emotionally and mentally is way more important than what they can 'do' for me materialistically and physically. I'll always choose love, affection, and emotional support over being showered with gifts. All I want is my energy reciprocated."
A third post was just as emotional, but more about Khloé's relationship with herself, reading:
"Work on being in love with the person in the mirror who has been through so much but is still standing."
It was swiftly followed by a poignant thought about forgiveness that read:
"If you break someone and they still wish you the best, you've lost the greatest thing for you in life."
The final quote to appear on her Instagram Story spoke about friendship, something that many people have related to the alleged 'other woman' Jordyn, who has been friends with Kylie since middle school.
It read:
"If your friendship has lasted longer than 7 years, you are no longer friends. You are family."
Other people think the post was a nod to Khloé's long-time BFF Malika Huqq, who commented on the drama today writing "These hoes ain't loyal" on Instagram.
However, Khloé is known for posting emotional quotes like these on the regular, so it can't be certain that she was referring to anything in particular.
A report from The Sun has claimed that the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star suspected her boyfriend was cheating, but had no idea it was with Kylie's best friend.
"Khloe and Tristan have had a rocky relationship since he was last caught cheating when she was pregnant – I don’t know if she ever trusted him 100 per cent after that," a source close to the family allegedly told The Sun Online. "They’d been on and off for months, sometimes not even living in the same house."
They continued:
"Khloe would hear rumours but she was desperate to make things work with Tristan for their daughter True’s sake. She had no idea that anything was going on between Tristan and Jordyn – she’d actually asked Jordyn to keep an eye on Tristan when they went out, so the reports they’d made out at a house party came as a huge shock.
"She now suspects that something could have been going on for a while and it wasn’t a one-off. Things like that don’t just happen."
